Myth vs Truth
❌ Myth: Inflammation always means you have an autoimmune disease.
✅Truth: Not always.
Inflammation is the body’s natural response to injury, infection, or stress.
While autoimmune diseases do cause inflammation, many non-autoimmune conditions can as well, including:
• Infections
• Recent injuries or overuse
• Overweight  
📌 Key point: Persistent or unexplained inflammation deserves evaluation—but it does not automatically mean an autoimmune diagnosis.
👉 If you have ongoing joint pain, swelling, or stiffness, a rheumatology evaluation can help determine the cause.

Palindromic rheumatism causes sudden, recurring attacks of joint pain, swelling, and stiffness that come and go - often leaving joints normal between flares.
