While this class will incorporate some elements of dance and movement, no experience in necessary and a variety options will be given for all.

Thursdays 9:30-10:30 at Shepherdstown.

Begins March 5 led by Gena Rockwell!

🌎 DONATION BASED YOGA WORKSHOP WITH SPECIAL GUEST TEACHER VALENTINA PINO!

About Valentina
Valentina is a 600+ hours certified yoga teacher with a background in healthcare and years of study in India. Her classes integrate mindful movement, strength and flexibility, and an embodied approach to awareness, offering a grounded and accessible practice for all levels.

Charity Yoga Workshop with Valentina:
Open to all levels, for those who approach yoga as both a physical and inner practice.

This workshop explores yoga as a physically engaging practice of strength and flexibility, while also inviting a more subtle dimension of awareness and receptivity.

Through mindful, embodied movement, we will work on building functional strength, mobility, and flexibility, while learning how to inhabit the body with more sensitivity and presence. The body becomes not only something to train, but a gateway to perception, a way to listen more deeply, soften unnecessary effort, and move with greater intelligence.

The class will be adaptable to the group, with accessible options for beginners and more challenging variations for experienced practitioners, emphasising quality of movement and awareness over performance.

Keep the Sarga coming! I LOVE this modality!

Combining the ancient art of barefoot massage with the latest fascia science, SARGA BODYWORK® practitioners utilize a length of fabric fastened to a massage table to aid in delivering therapeutic myofascial and deep tissue techniques with their bare feet.

Feedback from my last two Sarga Clients and regular bodywork recipients:
👁️ “I just wanted to let you know I haven’t had my neck and back feel so relaxed in a LONG time, when I woke through the night I noticed I wasn’t hunched over and my neck and traps were relaxed… very awesome and much appreciated” - B.K.
👁️ Hi Tricia! that was incredible, and I feel amazing! I noticed that breathing deeply through it helped me to relax a lot more, and that where my hamstrings meet my glutes felt stuck or tight (probably too many down dogs). Again 🙏🏻” -J.M.

TRICIA’S MASSAGE BIO:
Tricia Muller, Owner of Double Iris Yoga and Massage, LLC received her 750 hour massage therapy certification from Central Maryland School of Massage in Frederick, MD and became licensed in the state of West Virginia in February 2018. Her style is an intuitive combination of Swedish, Therapeutic, and Barefoot Myofascial aiming to calm and reset the nervous system in every session. Additionally, she is Medical Massage Certified as of September 2021 and became the first Certified Sarga Bodywork Practitioner in the state of West Virginia in July 2024. Tricia is endlessly eager to learn and experiment in a consensual and informed way and she likes to solve issues presented on an evolving continuum with each client. Holding safe space for her clients and students is one of her greatest callings and responsibilities and she does so with strong professional and ethical standards. She works in a way that encourages clients to heighten their own proprioceptive awareness of health and well-being and see more deeply into their own bodies. Her goal is to optimize lives through facilitating self care habits so her clients can better take care of themselves, their families, their communities, and ultimately, the world.

A very happy birthday to my dear friend, Alyssa!

I got to wish her well with a 2 hour session at today and it was magical! The power of Sarga is really starting to show forth in some of my clients who are super receptive to the work, and I am feeling that power also as a practitioner!

Thank you Alyssa, for the amazing conversation and feedback during the session! From Baba Yaga, to giving way to gravity, Therapeutic everything, from unga-bunga language to Agua De La Madre spritz (perfectly timed), today felt like it was my birthday, too! Thanks for being you and thanks for making my Sarga better and better each time I step on the table!

An honor to work with you and be a part of your journey. You always help me to highlight the principles that DIYM was founded upon!

Couples Stretch: Valentine’s Day Workshop Edition 💕

Redefine “quality time” with a shared practice designed to melt away mutual stress. In this workshop, you and your partner will act as each other’s support system, utilizing gentle leverage and collaborative movement to reach a deeper state of relaxation. By working together to facilitate passive stretches, you’ll help one another soften the areas where the day’s stress tends to settle, inviting a renewed sense of freedom in how you move and breathe. It is a nurturing experience designed to foster communication through touch and leave you both feeling completely aligned.

What to Expect:
-The Environment: A warm, inviting atmosphere designed for comfort, helping you and your partner settle into a steady pace and stay present with one another.

-The Care: An intentional practice of “giving and receiving.” You will be guided through a series of collaborative movements where you take turns providing steady, grounding support and receiving deep, assisted stretches.

-The Result: A physical reset that settles built-up stress, and gets you both back on the same wavelength. You’ll leave with a shared sense of relief, relaxed muscles, and the satisfaction of having reached a deeper state of comfort as a team.
