First established in 1929 as Hardy Funeral Home, Harold Hardy and J. Close became partners and established Hardy-Close Funeral Home in 1981. Close passed away on June 5, 2006. Hardy -Close Funeral Home was later purchased by Schoppenhurst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in 2013, and the tradition of compassionate care continues today.
