We are holding a bittersweet but beautiful exhibition at The Village at Sherman Oaks. One of our talented resident artists passed away unexpectedly last week, just before his work was set to be featured in our community gallery in March. He was so looking forward to sharing his passion with his fellow residents.

Thanks to the generosity of his daughter, we are honored to display his art for 10 days. Our gallery has never been busier! His work is currently bringing joy to residents, family members, staff, and visitors alike. We only wish he could have experienced the happiness his incredible talent has inspired. What a talent! 🎨🕊️

We had a full house at The Village at Sherman Oaks for a very important event. Our resident-run group, Elder Americans Speak Up (EASU), hosted a truly thought-provoking discussion on the state of democracy.

We were honored to welcome high-profile guests Ami Fields-Meyer and Jake Levine. They spoke to a packed room about the political landscape here and abroad before taking questions from the audience. It was inspiring to see so many residents engaged in such an important conversation!

Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail were on the menu for our New Year's Eve dinner in the dining room! Mark and three musician friends followed the meal with a performance that covered everything from jazz standards to songs from Wicked.

Master mixologist Paul served up Peruvian Pisco Sours alongside a dark chocolate fountain to launch our "Fountain of You" campaign! Inspiration struck after we watched a video of a 93-year-old barefoot water skier. ⭐

We started a list of things we have always wanted to try, and so far, the ideas are BIG. Sign-ups include a hot air balloon ride, a scuba diving class, throwing a clay pot, and a train trip to Santa Barbara for lunch. One neighbor even added getting a tattoo to the goal list!
