We had a fantastic time at TVSO's recent Zest Demo and Tasting event! 🍽️

Chef Favian Munoz and our culinary team hosted a cooking show centered around the Niçoise salad. They shared insights on the salad’s French origins and its health benefits. Then, our residents asked great questions, learned something new, and left feeling full. Over 40 attendees joined us for this event, and the feedback was incredible... we'll definitely be hosting it again!

Our TVSO crew took a trip down memory lane at the Valley Relics Museum!🕹️
We had so much fun exploring the San Fernando Valley’s vintage treasures, like the like The Flying Nun lunchbox, Miss Kitty’s Gunsmoke dress, even the iconic bus from Fast Times at Ridgemont High!

Donna found a book from 1946 (the year she graduated high school!) and Sharon had fun posing with Mr. Bogart himself (well, his cardboard cutout). We even spotted a Disney Aviation food heater with Mickey riding shotgun, and of course, the free pinball machines sealed the deal. We’re already talking about the next visit!

We got to do something really special this week... celebrating 18 of our resident volunteers who help make this community feel like home! 🧡

Whether they’re running the store, leading clubs, or sharing what they know in classes, they give so much of their time and heart. We gathered for a catered lunch from Luna Mediterranean Kitchen, handed out gold volunteer pins and personalized water bottles, and just took a moment to say thank you. These are the moments that matter most.

In celebration of Pride Month, we welcomed Hummingbird Meadows for a Bingo like no other! ⭐🌈

Our residents couldn’t get enough, cheering, clapping, and even striking a few poses of their own. The flamingo sippy cups and popsicle sunglasses were fun prizes, but what made the day so special was the shared celebration of individuality. Pride isn’t just a month for us at TVSO, it’s part of how we live, connect, and show up for one another!

Lights, laughter, and standing ovations! The Village Voices lit up our community with their Spring Concert, “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” featuring beloved Broadway hits, joyful choreography, and solos that stole the show. Under the direction of resident Faye Jeser, with production support from her husband, Paul, our 30+ member resident choir filled the room with talent and heart!

From Jan and Mary Karen’s stunning solos to the Circle of Life dancers and the hilarious surprise drag number by Michael and Arthur, the performance had the crowd laughing, clapping, and on their feet. Del and Leatrice’s duet was a highlight, and the energy was so electric we added an encore performance the very next day, turning Memorial Day into a very festive celebration.

Bravo to all who made this spectacular showcase a reality! 🌟🎤💐

Nothing says Memorial Day like good music, great food, and even better company! We hosted a southern-style BBQ on the patio with all the fixin’s and an amazing turnout... 143 residents joined us for the fun! The Just Dave Band kept the energy high with a mix of country and patriotic tunes, and one resident even jumped in to lead impromptu line-dancing when “Electric Slide” hit the speakers! It was a very special day honoring the holiday together, SRG style. ❤️🇺🇸🎶

This Memorial Day, SRG Senior Living communities came together with intention and gratitude. Across our locations, residents and team members honored those who gave their lives in service through remembrance tables set to honor fallen heroes, live musical performances, cookouts and community meals, special guests, and programs hosted by our Zest teams, creating space for reflection and appreciation!

In every detail, we remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We carry their memory not just today, but every day we choose to live with purpose! 🇺🇸
