Peaceful End of Life-Death Doula

Peaceful End of Life-Death Doula I'm an End of Life Doula. My mission is to serve people that are approaching the end of their life. I offer my services virtually throughout the US.

My mission is to serve people who are dying. To help terminally ill people (and their families) to prepare for death in a comfortable and peaceful way. We are not dying well in this country and people are afraid, confused and in pain at the end of their lives. Too many people are ill-prepared for the death of a loved one, their family members are overwhelmed and they’re at a loss about how to handle it. An End of Life Doula can bring compassion, companionship, caring and positive energy to a stressful and uncertain time.

Dia de Mu***os (Nov 1-2) is a beautiful tradition, reminding us that love doesn't disappear when life ends -- it transforms.

Whether through photos, flowers or quiet reflection, take a moment to remember the souls who've shaped your journey.

As a Death Doula, I see every day how remembrance heals.

How do you honor your loved ones this time of year? 💜

Who will speak for you when you can’t?
It’s not something we want to think about — but life can change in an instant. A sudden illness. An accident. A surgery that doesn’t go as planned. In those moments, someone will have to speak for you.

Choosing a healthcare advocate (also called a proxy or medical power of attorney) isn’t about giving up control — it’s about keeping it. You don’t have to be sick to plan ahead. It’s one of the most loving and practical gifts you can give yourself and your family.

As a death doula, I help people have these conversations before they’re urgent — so their wishes are clear and their families have peace of mind.

Covering financial topics like naming beneficiaries, wills, and trusts is one of the many things I do as an End-of-Life Doula — because when you’re facing an illness or terminal diagnosis for yourself or your loved one, it’s overwhelming to figure all of that out. It’s not just about paperwork; it’s about easing stress, making sure loved ones are protected, and ensuring your wishes are clear—which is exactly where doula support becomes invaluable so you don’t have to manage it all alone in a crisis.

Maybe you’ve heard of “The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning.” It’s a guide to proactively downsizing your stuff while you’re still alive. Doing so spares your heirs the mess of doing it themselves, and the potential fights they may have in the process.

Did you know fatal falls among seniors are on the rise—especially for those 85+, where death rates have more than doubled? Over 41,000 older Americans died from falls in 2023. (Source: CDC)

As someone passionate about whole-person wellness, I can’t underline this enough: mobility, medication review, and safe environments matter.

Medicare Program Supports Dementia Caregiving

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has launched the GUIDE model, a new voluntary Medicare pilot that offers coordinated dementia care—including navigation services, caregiver education, respite, medication management, and around-the-clock support. This program aims to ease the burden on families and help individuals with dementia stay safely in their homes.

As a naturopath and death doula, I’m thrilled to see our system beginning to recognize whole-person care and caregiver needs in this way—our loved ones and caregivers deserve better.

On July 1, 2024, CMS launched the GUIDE Model. On July 8, 2025, CMS announced 330 organizations participating in the model and published the GUIDE Participant List (XLSX).  Please visit the linked pages for additional information. ✨ It’s funny how the Universe works. A few days ago, I *accidentally* showed up way too early for a meeting. That “mistake” turned into an unexpected gift — the chance to be included in an article about the upcoming Death & Dying Symposium, where I’ll be speaking this coming Thursday.

The interview was published today, and I’m honored to share a little glimpse of this important conversation. 🌿💜

Next week, a seemingly dark subject will be brought into the light when the Texoma Area Death And Dying Symposium takes place. The event hosted by the Texoma Council of Governments, Area Agency on Aging of Texoma, and the Sherman Senior Activity Center will include seminars on lasting lessons, navig...

True caregiving is more than support—it becomes part of someone’s memory, their comfort, their story.
