Peaceful End of Life-Patient Advocacy Helping families navigate serious illness and end-of-life care with clarity, compassion, and peace. đź’ś
Virtual support across the U.S. & internationally.

Read about my book and other resources: https://www.peacefulendoflife.com/ My mission is to support individuals facing serious illness and end-of-life decisions — and the families who love them — with compassion, clarity, and advocacy. Too often, people reach the end of life feeling afraid, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to expect. Families are asked to make complex, life-altering decisions while exhausted, grieving, or under pressure — often without clear explanations or full informed consent. It doesn’t have to be that way. As an End-of-Life Doula and patient advocate, I provide education, guidance, and emotional support to help families understand their options, ask better questions, and navigate hospice and caregiving decisions with greater confidence. Much of my work focuses on supporting families before the final days, when early guidance can ease fear, prevent rushed decisions, and bring a sense of calm and preparedness. Together, we can create space for comfort, clarity, and human-centered care — honoring both the person who is dying and those who walk beside them.

Hospice decisions don’t have to feel overwhelming. In this article, I share practical guidance for choosing hospice care and explain how a death doula can offer steady support, advocacy, and clarity from diagnosis through the dying process. 💜

Many people assume that if a doctor recommends something, it must be the only option — or the “right” one.

But today’s healthcare system is rushed, fragmented, and often leaves patients and families without the time or space to ask important questions. When illness becomes complex, it can feel overwhelming to know how to slow things down and make decisions that truly align with your values.

I wrote a new article about when and why a patient advocate can help — especially before things feel urgent.

👉 When Illness Gets Complicated, a Patient Advocate Can Help

Navigating serious or chronic illness can feel overwhelming. Learn how a patient advocate helps families ask better questions and make informed care decisions.

I’ve worked in natural and holistic health for more than 25 years, and one of the gentlest tools I continue to use in my work as a Patient Advocate and End-of-Life Doula is flower remedies (also called flower essences).

Flower remedies don’t “fix” or suppress emotions. Instead, they offer subtle emotional support during times of stress, grief, anxiety, caregiving, and major life transitions — often long before end-of-life care is even discussed.

They can be safely used alongside medical treatments and are especially helpful for those who feel emotionally overwhelmed but want something gentle and non-invasive.

I wrote a short article sharing why I use flower remedies, how they work, and who they may be helpful for. 🌸

Is it time for Hospice? As an End-of-Life Doula, I’ve seen how often families are asked to make hospice decisions without clear information — or being told they have options.

This guide was created to change that.

How to Choose the Right Hospice helps individuals and families understand hospice care, compare providers, and advocate for comfort-focused, patient-centered care.

Available as a printable PDF, ideal for comparing multiple hospice providers.

💜 Medical care and emotional care are both essential — but they’re not the same.

So many families focus on interventions and tests, yet what people truly long for at the end of life is presence, comfort, connection, and being known.

In my newest article, we explore the difference between medical care and emotional care, why so many people prefer warmth and familiarity at the end of life, and how emotional support can transform someone’s final days from something clinical to something deeply human.

The holidays aren’t joyful for everyone. Some are grieving, some are caregiving, and some are quietly preparing for goodbye.

Let’s lead with kindness.
Let’s offer grace.

And if nothing else, let’s not make things harder for one another. 💜

A local writer recently shared this thoughtful piece about her experience fostering a hospice dog — and the larger cultural gap we have around loss and end-of-life conversations. I was honored to be included in the story.

If you’ve ever felt unsure how to sit with grief — your own or someone else’s — this is a meaningful read.

Meanwhile, in real life, sad news finds its way through the cell towers. A text message converts to data packets, bounces between satellites and ground – When our foster dog Darcie received a terminal diagnosis, I sat with sadness—and learned from an end-of-life doula that presence doesn't requi...

Our Story

My mission is to serve people who are dying. To help terminally ill people (and their families) to prepare for death in a comfortable and peaceful way. We are not dying well in this country and people are afraid, confused and in pain at the end of their lives. Too many people are ill-prepared for the death of a loved one, their family members are overwhelmed and they’re at a loss about how to handle it. An End of Life Doula can bring compassion, companionship, caring and positive energy to a stressful and uncertain time.
