This week, we’re sending a heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing nurses who go above and beyond every day. Your compassion, skill, and strength are the backbone of our care. You are truly heroes, and we’re grateful for everything you do.

We also want to give a shoutout to all the dedicated nurses at throughout our community.

Today, McDonalds also honored our nurses with some free coffee, coupons and other goodies!

We’re proud to recognize Debbie Dolezalek, who was nominated multiple times this quarter for her extraordinary compassion, clinical excellence, and dedication to patient care.
"Debbie, my nurse went above and beyond my expectations. She was kind and compassionate. She has a very good attitude. I could definitely tell she takes enormous pride in her work. I had a hernia surgery and was a patient for a little bit. Debbie took the best care of me! Every now and then my wound would leak and she would come and clean it with a smile on her face! Because of her, I would definitely come back to Sherman Medical Center again. I will also recommend to others. I hope she receives this award. She deserves it the most!"

Sherman Independent School District and the United Way of Grayson County held the 3rd annual Dr. Hicks Literacy Day today.
Each year March 7 is Dr. Hicks Literacy Day to honor the late Sherman ISD Superintendent.
For the six years Dr. David Hicks led Sherman ISD he was passionate about serving the community and reading to students.
Over 110 volunteers read books to SISD early childhood and elementary classrooms to carry on his legacy.
Thank you, United Way of Grayson County and Sherman Independent School District for putting together this amazing event each year! There's nothing like the power of a good book to spark imagination and a love for reading. ✨
