Carrus Health The compassionate medical professionals at Carrus are uniquely qualified to meet the complex medical needs of critically ill patients.

Carrus Hospitals is located in Sherman, Texas. There are two hospitals housed under one roof. These two hospitals meet the complex healthcare needs of patients who require both long term acute care and acute rehabilitative care. The hospital’s resources include a long-term acute care and ICU hospital for patients with complex healthcare needs as well as those who needing physical, occupational and speech rehabilitation care as the result of a surgery, injury or illness. We also provide a full range of physical and occupational equipment, a special procedures area that provides CAT scans and X-rays, infusion and our renowned Carrus Sleep Center. Carrus has four beautifully decorated courtyards for our patients’ enjoyment. Licensed by the State of Texas and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, Carrus Hospitals is an approved provider for Medicare. Carrus staff would like you to know that we not only focus fully and professionally on the patient, but that we care about the family as a whole. We will help the patient and their family work together toward a successful recovery, Our care works by showing everyone how the daily life of the patient can be improved upon in a way that will benefit all experiencing this difficult time.

We wrapped up an incredibly successful Halloween-themed hospital skills fair week, where learning met spooky fun! Staff engaged in hands-on activities designed to sharpen their clinical skills, all while immersed in festive decorations, creative costumes, and eerie challenges. Themed stations like "Fortune Telling", "Monster CPR" for crash cart knowledge drills, and "Wound Care" kept spirits high and participation strong. The energy was infectious, with colleagues collaborating, laughing, and showcasing their expertise in a memorable, spirited environment that blended professional growth with Halloween excitement.
