🚀✨ What a stellar experience at The Springs at Sherwood!

Our residents gathered in the Mount Hood Theater to witness history as we watched the Artemis II ascent and splashdown back to Earth. From liftoff to landing, there was a shared sense of awe as we took in the beauty and magnitude of what was accomplished.

To make the moment even sweeter, we enjoyed some “Sherwood Moon Pies” while cheering on the mission—because every great launch deserves a great treat! 🌙

Moments like these remind us that wonder has no age limit. Whether it’s looking back on where we’ve been or dreaming about what’s ahead, today was truly out of this world.

The Springs Living is proud to announce two senior leadership promotions: Amy Brown is now senior vice president of operations and Bryan Hays is senior vice president of finance.

As Senior Vice President of Operations, Amy Brown oversees operations in our 23 communities as well as ancillary and new business operations, where she will help drive forward-facing operational strategy. She has been with The Springs Living nearly 12 years, first as executive director of The Springs at Carman Oaks in Lake Oswego, Oregon, then regional director of operations, and, since 2023, vice president of new business and innovation.

As Senior Vice President of Finance, Bryan Hays is responsible for overseeing organizational financial strategy and performance. He directly supports the finance teams, including financial planning and analysis, asset management, and acquisition and development. He has more than a decade of experience with The Springs Living, where he most recently served as vice president of development and acquisition.

These promotions reflect The Springs Living's belief that the best way to grow and sustain a quality culture is from within. Amy and Bryan demonstrate that leadership can be strategic yet hands-on, empathetic yet decisive, and visionary yet grounded.

Congratulations, Amy and Bryan!

There’s something truly special about the connection between people, nature, and animals and our recent outing was full of just that

Our residents had the joy of visiting Forward Stride Equine Center, where they spent time with the most beautiful, gentle horses. From quiet moments of connection to big smiles and laughter, these incredible animals helped create an experience our residents won’t soon forget.

A heartfelt thank you to our Life Enrichment Assistant, Kyara, who volunteers at Forward Stride and graciously shared this amazing place with our community. Because of her, our residents were able to enjoy something truly unique, peaceful, and uplifting.

Days like this stay with you ❤️

Sometimes the best dinners come with a side of nostalgia!

On Thursday evening, we brought a childhood favorite to life with a Breakfast for Dinner themed night! From classic breakfast favorites to cozy vibes all around, it was an evening filled with comfort, laughter, and great company.

Fancho’s Pub even got a playful makeover… we transformed the pool table into a bed fit for royalty! The Princess and the Pea would have felt right at home at our pajama party!

Moments like these remind us that joy can be found in the simplest (and most delicious) traditions. 🥞

Yesterday, we celebrated something special at The Springs at Sherwood - 15 team members graduating from our fifth (and largest!) Spring Ahead cohort.

This 12-week program is designed to support employees' understanding of personal finances, how to utilize resources, time management, and professional development. In the process, the group collaborated to solve workplace challenges, and a number of participants realized they had access to more resources to support their success than they had realized.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this experience to life, including instructor Nancy Ojua, keynote speakers Fee and Julie Stubblefield, facilitator Juli Nibler, and Lucy Santiago from The Springs at Willowcreek, who returned as a graduate to help guide this cohort.

A special thanks to instructor Nancy Ojua, keynote speakers Fee and Julie Stubblefield, facilitator Juli Nibler, and Lucy Santiago, a team member from The Springs at Willowcreek who graduated from the program and helped facilitate some of the classes.

Congratulations to our graduates!

We believe dining should be an experience, not just a necessity. It should nourish the body, spark conversation, and create moments of connection that people look forward to every day.

The Springs at The Waterfront, that belief comes to life through the leadership of Executive Chef Kendra Kelso and her talented culinary team. With rotating menus, scratch-made dishes, seasonal ingredients, and creative freedom in the kitchen, their program rivals any high-end restaurant - while still honoring the comfort foods people love.

But what residents talk about most isn’t just the flavor. It’s the personalization. The familiar servers who know their names. The team members who remember their favorite breakfast order. The Chef Chats that invite feedback and keep the menu evolving.

Because exceptional dining isn’t just about what’s on the plate - it’s about the people behind it and the community around the table.

That’s what we mean when we say we’re redefining community living.

🍀 St. Paddy’s Day Fun at The Springs at Sherwood! 🍀

What a lively and unforgettable afternoon we had today in Fancho’s Pub celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in true Springs style!

Residents enjoyed festive favorites including Irish beer, whiskey, and our signature Leprechaun Punch—alongside a spread of delicious food and snacks that kept the celebration going strong. 🍻✨

We were even joined by a mischievous leprechaun, complete with a pot of gold, adding a little extra magic (and maybe a bit of luck!) to the day. 🌈💰

The Kansas City Rhythm Kings had the room buzzing with all the hits, and let’s just say… a few of our residents may have walked away with the tattoo of their dreams! 😉🎶

A huge thank you to our incredible Life Enrichment and Culinary teams for bringing the energy, creativity, and heart that made this event so special. Days like today are what community is all about! 💚

✨🎶 A Magical Evening in Newberg 🎶✨

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful night out at the Newberg Community Band’s Family Pops Concert—and what a treat it was! From Disney favorites like It’s a Small World and When You Wish Upon a Star to selections from The Sound of Music, the music brought back so many joyful memories. 💫

It truly felt like a special ladies night out, with a wonderful group of our residents enjoying the evening together—sharing smiles, laughter, and a love for music. 💕

We are so grateful for opportunities like this to get out into our local community, experience live performances, and create meaningful moments together.

🎵 Music, friendship, and a little Disney magic… what more could you ask for?

Women Who Shape Our Communities

At The Springs Living, we see it every day.

Women leading teams. Women mentoring across generations. Women bringing creativity to the kitchen, compassion to care, and heart to every interaction.

They are executive directors, chefs, caregivers, housekeepers, nurses, life enrichment leaders -and residents whose stories continue to inspire us.

They shape culture.
They shape connection.
They shape what community truly means.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women whose leadership, strength, and intention help our communities thrive - not just today, but every day.

03/08/2026

For International Women’s Day, we asked some of the remarkable women at The Springs at Sherwood one simple question:

What advice would you give to the young women and girls of today?

Their words are filled with decades of strength, courage, and wisdom. Today we celebrate the women who came before us and the voices that continue to inspire the generations ahead. 💜💜💜

Happy Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day! 🛠️❤️

Watch our incredible plant operations team at The Springs at Clackamas Woods in Milwaukie, Oregon work their magic as they transform an apartment from top to bottom — painting, replacing fixtures, carpet cleaning, pressure washing, and so much more.

Behind every fresh, welcoming home is a team that shows up every single day with skill and dedication. Last year alone, our teams across all locations completed 1,040 apartment turns. That's 1,040 homes made ready for a new resident to start their next chapter.

To every member of our plant operations teams: thank you. What you do matters more than words can say.

Love Yourself Fashion Show at The Springs at Clackamas 👠✨

The Springs at Clackamas closed out February with a meaningful celebration of confidence, individuality, and community connection during the Love Yourself Fashion Show.

Residents and team members participated in a joyful red carpet experience that highlighted personal style, self-expression, and the power of showing up as yourself. The event brought energy and encouragement to the room, reflecting the vibrant spirit that defines daily life within our community.

Moments like these are a reminder that well-being includes creativity, belonging, and the opportunity to celebrate one another.

This National Caregivers Day, we're proud to share the story of Anthony Igbinovia, caregiver, Lillian Award recipient, and the embodiment of the quietly extraordinary people who make up our caregiving team.

We sat down with Anthony, followed him through his shift, and asked him some questions about his work, why he’s here, and what keeps him going. His words aren’t dramatic, but they’re genuine. And they reflect how even the small things (especially the small things) can make a big difference.

Today, we celebrate Anthony and all caregivers who, through your quality service, impress upon the people in your care just how important they are. Thank you for your intention and dedication to all you do.

This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating a love story that grew and was sealed at The Springs at Anna Maria. ❤️

Josh and Sarah met and started dating while working at our Medford community. After Josh proposed, the couple initially planned to elope - but the Anna Maria community had other ideas.

Residents came together and partnered with our Life Enrichment team to host an unforgettable wedding celebration that included a resident “flower girl,” a resident officiant, Sarah’s daughter (and fellow employee) serving as maid of honor, and even the sous chef stepping in as best man.

Stories like this remind us that our communities are more than places to live or work; they’re places where relationships are built, milestones are celebrated, and people truly feel like they belong.

Congratulations to Sarah and Josh and thank you for letting us be part of such a special moment in your lives together.

Please join us in celebrating The Springs at Lake Oswego for receiving a deficiency-free rating for its memory care!

This rating comes from random visits from state officials as part of their oversight of senior living communities. Deficiency-free means 100% compliance - essentially, a perfect score from the state.
