Built in 2006, The Heritage of Green Hills sits at the intersection of Tranquility Lane and Inspiration Boulevard in Shillington, PA, near Reading. But it’s not just our Berks County address that sets us apart from a typical retirement community. Behind our doors you’ll find a community buzzing with activity. In fact, nearly 90 percent of residents are involved in some kind of physical activity, thanks to our community-wide wellness program, Well by DesignSM. We work with each resident to determine interests, hobbies and goals they’d like to pursue, and then create customized plans to help encourage a well-rounded and engaging life. The bottom line is, we want residents to stay independent longer.

Our incredible community came together in support of the Alzheimer’s Association—spreading awareness, honoring loved ones, and taking each step with purpose. Every stride brings us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.

Residents had a fantastic time visiting the Martin & Company Factory. Exploring the art of guitar making, viewing historic instruments, and diving into Martin’s incredible musical legacy. Outings like this are just one of the many ways we keep life at The Heritage engaging and full of adventure!

We had a fantastic time participating in the Car Show and Health & Wellness Fair at Encompass Rehab yesterday!

A big thank you to Encompass Rehab of Reading for hosting such a fun, engaging, and educational afternoon. We truly appreciated the opportunity to connect with the community and be part of an event that celebrated both wellness and classic cars!

The Wizard of Oz debuted in Hollywood on August 15 and later open nationally on August 25th in 1939. We watched the movie this month and sang some of the songs from the movie. We did Wizard of Oz trivia. We made these Wizard of Oz photo props and even made a themed snack.
