Congrats and thanks to the many FASTOIT providers that shared their perspectives in this article. We are huge proponents of sharing and learning together. The more allergists and OIT providers share their experience and their data, the more food allergy patients all around the world will benefit.

The SoCal Food Allergy Institute claims stunning results, but absent published research, some experts are skeptical.

Wonderful! Follow TIO Food Therapies, PLLC for more amazing food allergy success stories. Congrats Claudia.

🌟OIT graduate spotlight 🌟

For over a year Claudia has been on peanut OIT. Although only 5, we always joke she is wise beyond her years. She is doing great through immunotherapy. She is also an adorable model for our TIO graduate shirts!

Thanks for directing us to this Act 2 - which outlines the uphill battle to the COVID vaccine development and how work from years prior in MERS led us to a rapid solution to this challenging problem.

For years one group of people has been trying to push a giant boulder to the top of a hill, like Sisyphus.

So excited to make this announcement!

PUBLIC HEALTH CONNECTS US ALL.

As a former Washington University Student Health Educator with master's degrees in public health and social work and a mom of 4 in the District, I feel it imperative to reinforce what public health is and why it's so important to our students and community.

I am sharing this excerpt from the CDC Foundation. They do a great job of explaining what the term public health really means and how essential it is to our communities. I chose the public health profession and now hope to be a member of the Board because I am passionate about providing the education and support our students need to reach their greatest potential as students and beyond.

“Public health is the science of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities. This work is achieved by promoting healthy lifestyles, researching disease and injury prevention, and detecting, preventing, and responding to infectious diseases.

Overall, public health is concerned with protecting the health of entire populations. These populations can be as small as a local neighborhood, or as big as an entire country or region of the world.

Public health professionals try to prevent problems from happening or recurring through implementing educational programs, recommending policies, administering services, and conducting research—in contrast to clinical professionals like doctors and nurses, who focus primarily on treating individuals after they become sick or injured. Public health also works to limit health disparities. A large part of public health is promoting healthcare equity, quality, and accessibility.”
