Half Kneeling Thoracic Rotation for Better Spine Mobility 🔥 | Whole Health Movement

Ever feel stiff through the middle of your back? Try this half kneeling thoracic rotation to open things up and improve your mobility! 💪✨

Here’s how to do it:
• Set up near a wall in a half-kneeling position
• Use a yoga block (or anything handy) and press your knee into it to keep your hips stable
• Reach both arms forward
• Keep your inside hand on the wall while the outside arm rotates back as far as you can
• Focus on rotating from the mid-spine—not the hips

This simple drill is awesome for improving thoracic rotation, posture, and overall movement quality.

What Is a Muscle Knot? 🤔 (Explained by a Physical Therapist)

Ever wonder what a muscle knot actually is? Today on the Whole Health Minute, Courtney breaks it down in the simplest way possible. 💆‍♂️💥

A muscle knot forms when the muscle fibers fall out of their normal alignment, creating an “over-contraction” in one tight spot. This can show up from:
✔️ Stress
✔️ Overuse
✔️ Minor injuries
✔️ Poor posture or repetitive habits

This misalignment can be painful — but the good news is, it’s treatable. Soft tissue work, targeted mobility, and proper exercise help the muscle realign and relax so you can move (and feel) better.

Adductor Rock for Better Mobility | Whole Health Solutions 🦵🔥

Looking for a simple stretch to open up your hips and improve mobility? The adductor rock is one of our favorites! 🙌

In this Whole Health Movement video, Courtney walks Jianna through how to set up and perform the adductor rock so you can feel a deep, effective stretch through your inner thigh.

Here’s how to do it:
• Start on your hands and knees
• Kick one leg out to the side
• Sit your hips back toward your heel as you reach forward
• Hold the stretch briefly, then rock forward
• Keep the foot flat to target the inner thigh
• Point the toe up to shift the stretch more to the back of the leg

Great for hip mobility, adductor flexibility, and improving overall movement for strength training, running, sports performance, and injury prevention.

✅ Keep your chest tall
✅ Sit your hips back like a chair
✅ Go as deep as your ankles, knees, and hips allow
