🚼 Earlier this week, on Wednesday, Sept. 3, we were proud to be part of the Masonic NICU Talk & Show!

Our very own Mackinley Johnson, Paramedic at our Anoka/Blaine base, represented Life Link III, sharing insights on NICU operations and team dynamics during the NICU Transport Conference with the University of Minnesota’s NICU team.

We also got a first look at their brand-new isolette! So exciting to see innovation at work! 👏

Thank you to the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation (Wisconsin Public Service) for supporting Life Link III's critical care equipment needs through generous funding that will allow us to acquire a new Sapphire Multi-Therapy Infusion Pump in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. These pumps, carried on board all our aircraft, enhance the care we provide patients by delivering precise, reliable, and versatile medication administration in flight. Please join us in congratulating Rikki Gardonio and Shannon Wood, who have both successfully completed Year 2 of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) Safety Management Training Academy (SMTA) and achieved the designation of Certified Medical Transport Safety Professional (MTSP-C).

The AAMS-SMTA is a nationally recognized program designed to advance safety leadership and operational excellence across the air medical and critical care transport industry. Earning the MTSP-C credential demonstrates not only mastery of advanced safety management practices, but also a deep commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety for patients, crews, and the communities we serve.

Our gratitude and appreciation to Libby Laingen who is wrapping up her summer internship with Life Link III this week. Libby is part of the University of Minnesota School of Public Health Master of Healthcare Administration - Class of 2026, and we appreciate her spending her summer with us!

This week she concluded with a Capstone presentation to the Executive Leadership Team. During her internship, Libby jumped right in, contributed in meaningful ways, and brought fresh perspective and energy to the team. We’re grateful for the hard work, creativity, and dedication she has shown over the past few months.

🚁 We’re Hiring: Assistant Chief Pilot (Aviation Manager) 🚁

Life Link III is seeking a dynamic aviation leader to join our team as Assistant Chief Pilot. In this role, you’ll partner with the Chief Pilot to oversee daily flight operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of safety and excellence.

This hybrid position is based out of a Life Link III base (with some work from home), and includes travel to other bases across Minnesota and Wisconsin.

What you’ll do:
✈️ Support and supervise pilots, ensuring alignment with FAA regulations and company standards
✈️ Act as a liaison between crews and leadership, promoting strong communication and safety culture
✈️ Conduct evaluations, training, and serve as a check pilot
✈️ Step into line pilot duties when needed and support continuous improvement in operations
