Microneedling depth matters β€” but not the way most people think. πŸ“

The wound-healing response that makes microneedling work doesn't wait until you reach deep tissue. Even at shallow depths, your skin is already responding β€” keratinocytes signaling, fibroblasts activating, growth factors regulating repair.

Depth doesn't "unlock" different effects. It modulates the intensity of the same response:

0.25–0.5mm β†’ barrier signaling, enhanced absorption
0.5–1.0mm β†’ fibroblast activation, early dermal response
1.0–1.5mm β†’ collagen remodeling, structural repair
1.5mm β†’ deep remodeling, advanced scar treatment

More depth β‰  better results. What actually determines your outcome: technique, device, skin condition, pre/post care, and consistency.

Here's what most people don't know: there's a real difference between cosmetic and medical microneedling.

Cosmetic microneedling (~0.5mm and under) can be performed by estheticians and cosmetologists β€” appropriate for glow, absorption, and surface texture.

Medical microneedling goes deeper and can only be performed by a licensed medical provider: RN, NP, MD, PA, or higher. It addresses acne scars, laxity, and deeper lines β€” and requires clinical training that goes beyond an esthetician's scope.

At Vibrance we use the Candela Exceedβ„’ β€” FDA-approved for acne scars and wrinkles. We don't chase depth. We optimize precision, consistency, and skin response. πŸ”¬

Last post of Filler Week β€” and we're ending with the one that ties everything together. πŸ’‰βœ¨

Botox and filler are not competing treatments. They don't do the same thing. They work on completely different layers of the face β€” and together, they address aging in a way that neither can accomplish alone.

Botox works at the muscle layer. It relaxes the contractions that create and deepen dynamic lines. Filler works at the volume layer. It restores the structure and fullness that's been lost with age and hormonal shifts.

Here's something most people don't realize: Botox actually protects your filler. If you're still contracting aggressively over filler, those muscles break down the product faster. Relaxing them first extends your results. And filler fills the static lines that Botox alone can't address.

Add Skinvive for skin quality. Add hormone optimization for the biology underneath all of it. Now you're addressing every layer of the same problem β€” and that's when results look truly comprehensive and natural.

Do you need both? Not always. Some patients are great candidates for one and not the other. We'll tell you honestly at your consultation.

Thank you for following along all week. 🀍 DM us or call to book.

No surprises. Here's exactly what a filler appointment at Vibrance looks like β€” before, during, and after. πŸ’‰

Before you come in: avoid blood thinners for 24–48 hours, skip the dental appointment that week, come with a clean face and clear goals. That's really it.

During: we consult first, always. Nothing gets opened until we've agreed on a plan. Numbing is applied, the product contains lidocaine, and most patients are surprised by how comfortable the experience is.

After: bruising and swelling are the most common side effects β€” especially around the lips. Swelling peaks at 24–48 hours and resolves over 1–2 weeks. Don't judge your results while you're swollen. Two weeks is when we assess and decide if anything needs refining.

As for how long it lasts: Voluma up to 2 years, Vollure and Volux up to 18 months, Volbella around 12 months. Your individual metabolism, sun exposure, and lifestyle all play a role.

And if you ever want it gone? Hyaluronidase dissolves HA filler. The reversibility of Juvederm is one of the reasons I chose it.

DM us or call to book an appointment.

Let me tell you my philosophy on filler β€” because I think it's the reason so many people are scared of it. πŸͺž

You should not be able to tell someone has filler. It should look natural. It should complement the face. If it announces itself, something has gone wrong.

The faces you see on social media that look overdone, puffy, or fake? That's the result of too much product, wrong placement, or a provider without the right training. That is not what filler is supposed to look like β€” and it's not what filler looks like at Vibrance.

Done correctly, filler is invisible. Your face looks refreshed, rested, balanced. People think you look great β€” they just can't put their finger on why.

Now let's talk myths.

Filler looks fake. β†’ Only when there's too much of it.
It stretches out your skin. β†’ Not with conservative, appropriate amounts.
Once you start you can't stop. β†’ It breaks down naturally. It's reversible. You can stop anytime.
It's just for lips. β†’ The most impactful results are often in the cheeks, temples, and jawline.
It's dangerous. β†’ In trained hands, with reversible HA filler, the safety profile is strong.

If you've been curious but hesitant β€” that's completely normal. DM us. We'll answer everything honestly, with zero pressure.

Not all filler is the same β€” and not all areas of the face need the same product. This is one of the most important things to understand before you book. πŸ—ΊοΈ

At Vibrance we use the full Juvederm collection, and each product is engineered for a specific purpose:

Voluma for the cheeks, and midface β€” the deepest, most structural product. Restoring volume here lifts the whole face.

Volbella for lips and the fine lines around the mouth β€” soft, natural-looking, never puffy.

Vollure for nasolabial folds and marionette lines β€” the flexible formula that fills without looking stiff.

Volux for the jawline and chin β€” the firmest product, built for structural definition in the lower face.

And Skinvive β€” which isn't a volumizing filler at all. It's a skin booster. Micro-injected into the dermis for improved hydration, glow, and smoothness without changing your shape.

The products aren't a menu. They're tools. Which ones we use, where, and how much depends entirely on your face. We assess before we recommend β€” always.

Filler Week starts today β€” and we're beginning with the basics, because there is so much confusion about what filler actually is. ✨

Let me clear something up first: dermal filler is not the same as Botox. They're completely different products that do completely different things. Botox relaxes muscles. Filler restores volume and structure. Many patients benefit from both β€” but they are not interchangeable.

At its core, dermal filler is hyaluronic acid β€” a molecule your body already makes. It attracts and holds water, adding volume where it's been lost and structure where it's softened. Because it's biocompatible, the risk of reaction is very low. And because it's reversible, it can always be dissolved if needed.

At Vibrance we use the Juvederm collection by Allergan β€” five distinct products, each formulated for a specific purpose and area. Voluma for the cheeks and midface. Volbella for lips and fine lines. Vollure for folds and contour. Volux for jawline definition. And Skinvive β€” something different entirely β€” for skin quality and glow without adding any volume at all.

This week we're going deep on all of it. Save this post and follow along. πŸ‘‡

β†’ Tuesday: Face mapping β€” what gets treated where and why
β†’ Wednesday: Natural filler + the myths that need to die

That's a wrap on Botox Week 2 β€” and we're going straight into something I get asked about just as much. πŸ’‰βœ¨

Next week is all about filler.

We're covering everything: what it actually is, how it works, which products do what, the myths that need to die, what natural filler really looks like, and what to expect if you want it dissolved.

We offer the full Juvederm collection at Vibrance β€” Voluma, Volbella, Vollure, Volux, and Skinvive β€” and next week you'll understand exactly what each one does and why we'd choose one over another for your specific face.

One thing I'll say going in: filler should never look like filler. If you can tell, it's too much. My philosophy is simple β€” enhance what's there, restore what's been lost, and leave you looking like a refreshed version of yourself. Not a different person.

Filler week starts Monday. Follow along and save this post to share with anyone who's been curious.

If you have specific questions you want answered β€” drop them in the comments. I'll make sure they're covered. πŸ‘‡

One thing I will never do: treat every face the same way. πŸͺž

"20 units, same spots, every patient" is one of the most common mistakes in aesthetic practice. And it's exactly why so many people have had Botox experiences that left them with a heavy brow, an unnatural look, or results that just felt off.

Your face is not a template. The position of your brow, the strength of your muscles, your skin thickness, your hormonal stage, your history with neurotoxins β€” all of it changes the approach. What works beautifully for one person can look completely wrong on another.

At Vibrance, we assess before we ever inject. We watch how you move, understand your anatomy, align on your goals, and then build a treatment plan that's specific to you. Not pulled from a standard chart.

And it gets better with time. By your third or fourth visit, we know your face well. We know what you loved, what to adjust, and how your muscles respond. That's when results get truly refined.

Your face deserves a plan. Not a protocol.

There are six FDA-approved neurotoxins on the market. So why do I use Botox for the vast majority of my treatments? πŸ’‰

It comes down to a few things I won't compromise on.

Research. Botox has the most extensive safety and efficacy data of any neurotoxin β€” decades of evidence across millions of patients. Nothing newer comes close yet.

Versatility. Botox is FDA-approved for both cosmetic and medical indications β€” the only neurotoxin that is. And it's safe to use across the entire face, including delicate lower-face areas where neurotoxins with more diffusion require extra caution.

Precision. I know exactly what Botox will do. That predictability is something I've built my technique around β€” and my patients can count on consistent, reproducible results every time.

And yes β€” the AllΔ“ rewards program. My patients earn points on every treatment that translate to real savings. That's a meaningful benefit that no other neurotoxin offers at the same level.

My second choice is Jeuveau β€” a modern, highly purified cosmetic neurotoxin that's a strong option for patients who prefer it or who've developed some resistance to Botox.

We use what we trust. That's it.

"My Botox isn't lasting as long as it used to." I hear this all the time β€” and most of the time, the answer isn't what people expect. πŸ’‰

First, let's be clear: Botox is not supposed to keep you fully frozen from the day you get it until the day it wears off. It has a curve β€” it builds to full effect around week 2, holds through weeks 6–10, then gradually fades. That's not failure. That's how it works.

That said, some factors do shorten duration: high-intensity exercise, a fast metabolism, strong muscles, sun exposure, and chronic stress can all play a role.

And then there's dosing β€” one of the most underappreciated reasons results disappoint. Dose is duration. Dose is outcome. Think of it like Tylenol: you can take less than the recommended amount, but it might not last as long or give you the same relief. Botox works the same way. Trying to stretch product across too many areas means nothing gets fully treated β€” and results suffer.

Sometimes it's also perception. After a few treatments, smooth skin becomes your new normal, and any returning movement feels more dramatic than it is.

True resistance is rare, but it happens. A washout period or switching to Jeuveau can help if that's the case.

The bottom line: if you're due for a rebook, now is the time. Retreating around month 3 gives the most consistent, cumulative result.

DM us or call to schedule your next appointment.

This is the post I've been wanting to write for a while. πŸ’‰

There are six FDA-approved neurotoxins on the market: Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify, Jeuveau, and Letybo. They are not interchangeable. They are not the same product. And only one of them is actually called Botox.

Botox is a brand name β€” made by Allergan. It is not a generic term for all neurotoxins, the same way Kleenex isn't a generic term for all facial tissues.

Here's why this matters right now: some providers are marketing Xeomin as "purified Botox" or "naked Botox." Xeomin is a legitimate neurotoxin β€” but it is not Botox. It's made by a different company, has a different formulation, and is generally positioned at a lower price point. If you're being quoted "Botox" pricing but the number seems surprisingly low, it's worth asking exactly which product is being used.

You deserve accurate information. Informed consent isn't just a form you sign β€” it means knowing what's actually going into your face.

At Vibrance, we primarily use Botox and Jeuveau. Dysport is available by special request. We will always tell you exactly what we're using β€” before we use it, every time.

Swipe through for the full breakdown of all six neurotoxins and what to ask when comparing providers.

Last post of Botox Week β€” and we're ending with the one people ask about most: what actually happens. πŸ’‰

No mystery, no surprises. You come in, we talk about your goals, we map your face, and we treat exactly where it matters. The whole thing takes about 20 minutes. Most people are back at work before lunch.

Then you wait. Days 1–3 feel like nothing happened. Days 3–7 you start to notice. By day 14 you've got your full result β€” and you'll wonder why you waited so long.

The aftercare is simple: don't touch it, stay upright, skip the gym for a day. That's genuinely it.

If Botox Week answered your questions and you're ready to book, use the link in bio or DM us directly. And if you're still not sure β€” a consultation is always free and always zero pressure.

Thank you for following along all week. This is exactly the kind of education I wish existed before I got into aesthetics. 🀍
