As the seasons change, it’s important to keep the whole family feeling their best. Here are a few simple habits to help you enjoy fall to the fullest:

- Stay active together
Cooler weather makes it a great time for walks, bike rides, or playing outside. Even 20 minutes a day can give your immune system a boost.

- Eat seasonal foods
Fall favorites like apples, carrots, and sweet potatoes are packed with vitamins. Get kids involved by letting them help prepare a healthy snack or meal.

- Practice good hand hygiene
Regular handwashing, especially after school, sports, or errands, remains one of the easiest ways to prevent the spread of germs.

- Make rest a priority
With school, sports, and holidays, routines can get busy. A consistent bedtime helps kids (and adults) recharge and stay well.

Our hearts go out to Timber Mesa and to the families affected by this tremendous loss in our community. We extend our deepest condolences during this difficult time.

Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District is saddened to announce the line of duty deaths of two of our firefighters on September 14, 2025. The firefighters were involved in a traffic collision on State Route 260. The collision is under investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Out of respect for the families, the names of our firefighters will be released once notifications have been made and as time permits. We ask that the media and the public respect the family’s privacy of the fallen firefighters and to refrain from sharing unverified information. Please rely on official statements from Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District or other vetted sources.

Our entire organization is grieving the loss of our team members. We ask for privacy and compassion as we support the families, co-workers, and community during this very difficult time.
