After a life-changing fall left her paraplegic, Leathie faced intense medical challengesā€”including acute kidney failure ...

After a life-changing fall left her paraplegic, Leathie faced intense medical challengesā€”including acute kidney failure and diabetes. When she arrived, she was completely bedbound. Today, thanks to her strength, determination, and dedication to therapy, sheā€™s made incredible progress. With skills learned in OT, she now feeds herself and completes ADLs using a tenodesis grasp. In PT, sheā€™s regained enough core strength to independently operate a power wheelchairā€”graciously donated through the rehab teamā€™s efforts. Youā€™ll now find Leathie all around the buildingā€”spreading joy, attending events, and lifting others with her smile. (And yesā€”weā€™ll forgive her for being a Cowboys fan šŸ˜‰)
