We have great appreciation for the caregivers of our patients in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. Caregivers can be defined as the professionals who care for the patients and also the family, friends, and resources who also care for the patient outside the hospital. Our medical rehabilitation teams support all caregivers by serving as advocates for our patients and families and providing them with resources, training, and emotional support during their hospital stay with our hospital and as they prepare to return to live their best life.

Meet Shannon Davis, dedicated Case Manager here at Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital! With 26 years as a licensed social worker, Shannon brings compassion, experience, and a positive spirit to everything she does.

In her role, Shannon works closely with patients and families to ensure every discharge plan is seamless, whether that means arranging medical equipment, coordinating home health services, or helping transition to the next level of care.

“I love what I do because I love meeting and getting to know people,” Shannon shares. “I take pride in helping patients get what they need to continue healing and progressing after they leave.”

Her ability to connect with others comes naturally; having moved often growing up, Shannon learned early on how to make new friends and find joy in every day. Her motto? "Find something each day to make you laugh."

We’re grateful for Shannon’s energy, empathy, and the bright light is for our patients and team every day.
