✨CHAD CRAIN’S STORY✨

I left UpRising on May 5, 2025. I can’t even begin to express how much of a blessing the center has been for me. Not only did I find myself again, but I also found God again. It has been hard since I left, but I have not given in to my old habits, nor have I fallen back into the darkness.

You, Mr. Sal, and Mrs. Kendra have truly blessed me. You believed in me, and helped me believe in myself again. Thank you.

I want you to know I am moving forward. I am selling my house, where so many bad memories and bad habits kept me trapped for so long. I see that as part of God’s plan. I have also been working on getting a new truck after spending $2,000 on my Tahoe, which is still parked. I believe that was a sign from God to let it go.

On this new path, I have been able to reconnect with someone who played a major role in helping me stay sober in the past. By the end of this month, I will be packed up and moving for a new job placement, which is a huge step because it’s my career job that I got back. With the guidance of my financial mentor, I have set goals and accomplished them.

Tomorrow, I will celebrate 90 days fully sober — the longest I have ever gone. With the greatest respect and gratitude to everyone at UpRising, thank you all so much.
