The Louisiana National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (LANREMT) is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former board member, Frank Berraca.

Frank was a dedicated leader, mentor, and advocate for the EMS profession. His commitment to advancing emergency medical services and supporting those who serve on the front lines left a lasting impact across our community and beyond. He brought wisdom, integrity, and a genuine passion for helping others to every role he held.

We are grateful for his years of service and the legacy he leaves behind. Frank will be remembered not only for his contributions to EMS, but for the kindness and respect he showed to colleagues and friends alike.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest easy, Frank. Your service and impact will not be forgotten.

We're excited to welcome Mendy White, NRP, PECC to the 2026 Louisiana State EMS Conference and Expo!

Mendy will highlight the unique ways to enhance pediatric readiness! This includes having pediatric specific equipment, knowing how to think quickly and calmly in a pediatric situation, and having child focused policies in place along with a pediatric emergency care coordinator for all pediatric training.
