Ochsner LSU Health is proud to welcome back Dr. Saudamini Lele, a fellowship-trained pediatric ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist!

An LSU Health Shreveport graduate, Dr. Lele brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care for children across the region.

Dr. Lele now sees patients at Ochsner LSU Health – St. Mary Medical Center, a hub for comprehensive pediatric care. She evaluates and treats the full spectrum of ENT conditions affecting the airway, voice, hearing, speech, and sinuses. Her clinical interests include pediatric airway and sinus disorders, sleep apnea as well as both adult and pediatric ear diseases.

Ochsner LSU Health welcomes oral and maxillofacial surgeon Abdulrahman Hesham, DDS, MS!

Dr. Hesham is fellowship trained in head and neck oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction and is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

He specializes in surgery for advanced head and neck cancers. He also performs complex reconstructive surgery using tissue from other parts of the body and uses advanced computer planning to help achieve the best results for both cancer treatment and function.

In addition to treating patients, Dr. Hesham is known for his research. He has published articles on new treatments and surgical methods, especially for cancer patients. His work is helping to improve care for patients everywhere.

Meet Montrice S. Hartwell, a nurse practitioner at Ochsner LSU Health – Spring Lake!

A proud native of Shreveport, she began her nursing journey at Kilgore College, where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing, and later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Northwestern State University College of Nursing in Shreveport in 2009. Montrice continued to advance her education and clinical expertise, earning her Master of Science in Nursing in 2022. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is proud to serve on staff at Ochsner LSU Health.

With extensive experience in wellness exams and the management of both acute and chronic conditions, Montrice has clinical expertise in hypertension, diabetes, COPD & asthma, well-woman exams & pap smears, preventive health screenings.

This weekend at the Shreveport Farmers' Market, Ochsner LSU Health hosted interactive stations all about nutrition and wellness, helping kids (and parents!) learn the importance of healthy eating.

From hands-on activities to making over 52 homemade Pop-Tarts 🍓🥧, we had about 75 visitors stop by to join the fun and take home tips for a healthier lifestyle.
