🌟 Provider Spotlight: Carlton G. Houtz, M.D. 🌟

Dr. Carlton Houtz is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee, and elbow. As a member of the Highland Clinic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine team, he brings extensive experience in treating sports injuries in athletes of all ages.

A graduate of Louisiana State University and LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Dr. Houtz completed his orthopaedic residency training in Orlando and Brooklyn. He then pursued a specialized sports medicine fellowship at Methodist Baylor Hospital Systems in Houston. During this fellowship, he gained invaluable experience as an assistant team physician for professional and collegiate teams, including the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, Houston Dynamo, and Rice University athletics.

Dr. Houtz is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He also serves as a team physician for numerous local schools and Bossier Parish Community College.
