January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

This month is dedicated to raising awareness, educating our communities, and strengthening efforts to prevent human trafficking including forced labor and sexual exploitation.

Human trafficking can happen anywhere and affects individuals of all ages, races, genders, and backgrounds. Awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have to protect vulnerable populations and support survivors.

💙 How you can help:
• Learn the warning signs
• Share educational resources
• Support local organizations
• Report suspected trafficking

📞 National Human Trafficking Hotline: 1-888-373-7888
📱 Text: HELP to 233733

Together, we can help create safer communities and restore hope.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King’s work reminds us that justice, equity, and compassion are not passive ideals, but daily practices. As counselors, we are called to create spaces where dignity is affirmed, voices are heard, and healing is accessible for all.

May we continue to reflect on how his legacy challenges us to show up with courage, empathy, and a commitment to serving our communities with integrity.

“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”
