🌟 Provider Spotlight: Holly Guy, M.D. 🌟

Dr. Holly Guy is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist who's been serving her hometown of Shreveport since joining Highland Eye Clinic in 2015. As a C.E. Byrd High School graduate, she brings world-class expertise in the latest glaucoma treatments that were previously unavailable locally.

Dr. Guy graduated summa cm laude from Texas A&M University before completing medical school and residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She then pursued specialized glaucoma fellowship training at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, earning the prestigious Richard J. Simmons Glaucoma Fellow Award and membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Following in her father's footsteps, Dr. Guy specialized in glaucoma and gained expertise in minimally invasive surgeries that give patients more treatment options with fewer side effects. She sees patients in both Shreveport and Monroe, where she also trains ophthalmology residents in advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Guy utilizes the newest technology for both diagnosis and treatment, individualizing care to optimize each patient's outcome. She enjoys spending time with her husband Sammy and their two children.

🌟 Provider Spotlight: Gabrielle Boyd, O.D. 🌟

Dr. Gabrielle Boyd brings the unique perspective of a second-generation optometrist who grew up in rural North Louisiana surrounded by medical eye care. This early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for eye health that drives her commitment to giving every patient their best possible sight.

Understanding that "the eyes are our windows to the world," Dr. Boyd approaches each patient knowing that whether it's achieving the perfect contact lens fit or treating advanced eye disease, vision care can truly transform lives.

Dr. Boyd graduated summa cm laude from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology before earning her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2017. During her training, she completed specialty rotations in post-operative care and retinal disease while becoming proficient in multiple laser procedures, specialty contact lens fitting, and complex disease management.

Since graduation, Dr. Boyd has practiced throughout Louisiana, developing a reputation for being relatable, approachable, and progressive. She and Highland Eye Clinic utilize the industry's top technology to diagnose and follow each patient's individual needs.

Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Boyd enjoys being wife to Cody, a local corporate defense attorney, and mother to their four children.

Dr. Dea Bekteshi brings over nine years of optometric expertise to Highland Eye Clinic, where she's built a reputation for tackling the eye care challenges that keep patients searching for answers. Her passion for optometry started early and has only grown stronger through years of helping patients with complex vision needs find real solutions.

Dr. Bekteshi's academic record speaks for itself—she graduated magna cm laude from the University of North Texas with her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2016, then headed to the University of Houston where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree, again graduating magna cm laude in 2021. Along the way, she earned two Letters of Clinical Excellence, served as Vice President of SAAO, and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society.

Her clinical experience runs deep, with positions at Plano Eye Associates in Texas, Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, and Eye Care, Inc. here in Shreveport. This diverse background means she's seen it all—from routine eye exams to the most challenging cases that require specialized care.

Dr. Bekteshi holds certifications in Zenlens and Paragon CRT, and her expertise in fitting specialty contact lenses has helped countless patients with keratoconus and other complex conditions.
