The Family Doctors is an independent medical group consisting of 12 primary care physicians and 3 mid-level providers taking care of generations of families. We offer same day acute/sick visits, preventive care and management of chronic problems/health concerns and have provided excellent medical care for patients for over 40 years. The Family Doctors is conveniently located behind Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital at 8383 Millicent Way.

**** Update: Issue with TMobile/Metro PCS is RESOLVED***

📣Important Notice for T-Mobile/Metro PCS Customers 📣

We are currently experiencing an issue where calls from T-Mobile and Metro PCS customers are not coming through to our main phone line. While we are still able to make outgoing calls to these numbers, we are unable to receive incoming calls from them.

If you are a T-Mobile or Metro PCS customer and need to reach us, please send us a message through Facebook Messenger with the patient’s name and a call-back number. A member of our team will contact you as soon as possible.

You can also message us through your Follow My Health portal.

We will update once the issue is resolved and apologize for the inconvenience.

We are having issues with our IVR prompts on our main phone number. You will hear your wait time is over 60 minutes. This is not accurate and you will be connected within a few mins max if not immediately. That announcement is incorrect. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to have it resolved ASAP!

Job Description:
We are seeking a courteous and efficient phone receptionist. The ideal candidate will provide a full range of telephone switchboard duties, including triaging calls and relaying messages. You will also assist with clerical duties as required and serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff.

Responsibilities:
- Courteously and efficiently answer all incoming calls.
- Schedule appointments for multiple providers.
- Accurately take and relay messages in a timely manner.
- Perform phone operator functions including triaging, connecting, and transferring calls.
- Provide a pleasant and helpful phone contact experience with each call.
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned to maintain department workflow.

Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient technical (computer) skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated with strong initiative.
