After being charmed by the outgoing 6-year old patient ambassador during a recent donor engagement event, members of the Louisiana State Troopers Association, Troop E surprised Audrey by mailing her a gift box filled with state trooper gear and goodies. Thank you, state troopers, for your support of our mission and our kids! ⚜️🚓

Shriners Children’s Shreveport was filled with holiday revelry this morning thanks to our friends with Operation Santa Claus! The program, a joint effort of Shreveport Fire Department, Shreveport Police Department and Townsquare Media Shreveport, uses community contributions of toys and other gifts to bring cheer to kids during the holiday season. With Santa himself delivering the toys and a flurry of ‘snow’ outdoors, our guests brought holiday cheer to patients and staff alike. We are so thankful for this wonderful community initiative! ❤️🎅🚓🚒

Patient ambassador Anna recently visited to conduct a craft activity with an uplifting message for fellow patients! As part of her “Aligned With A Purpose” pageant platform, Anna has regularly conducted activities and appearances designed to “encourage kids and remind them that what makes us different is what makes us beautiful”. ❤️

Anna is currently in Minden, LA to compete in the Miss Louisiana Volunteer pageant this weekend. As the reining Miss Bayou Volunteer, she’ll compete alongside fellow contestants who are all working to make meaningful contributions to their communities through service and leadership. Best of luck, Anna! 🤩👏
