🎉 Big News for Future Healthcare Professionals! 🎓

Today, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with LSU Shreveport to create a faster, more affordable pathway for students to earn a bachelor’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Science, Cardiovascular Technology or Medical Laboratory Science through our LSU Health Shreveport School of Health Professions and Sciences.

Students will now be able to start their degree at LSUS and finish it here at LSU Health Shreveport, gaining the skills and credentials they need to launch meaningful, high-demand healthcare careers in just four years. 👩‍⚕️👨‍🔬❤️

A few weeks ago, students from LSU CPS, LSU CVT, and BPCC RT programs had the incredible opportunity to take part in our annual Willis-Knighton day of discovery.

They got an up-close look at a variety of clinical settings, including the LifeAir helicopter, the ECMO wet lab, and the hyperbaric chamber.

We love introducing our students to the many ways their future professions can intersect with patient care—whether on the ground, in the air, or in specialized therapies.

It was an unforgettable, eye-opening, and educational experience for all!

AARC Celebrates Reintroduction of the SOAR Act! The Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform Act (SOAR) of 2025 was reintroduced, and would ease access to supplemental oxygen for Medicare beneficiaries.

Attention echocardiographers!! We’re looking for an adjunct faculty member (Bachelor’s degree minimum) who might be interested in teaching an Echo Lab during the upcoming summer semester. Most likely, this 3 hour lab will occur once a week in the afternoon.

In the CPS/CVT programs we teach a lot of things…Lung & heart mechanics ✅ gas exchange ✅ pharmacology ✅ life-saving interventions ✅
But one of our favorite things to teach is how to peel crawfish like a pro!! Preparing our students for EVERYTHING life throws at them!!
