Over the past 20+ years, LASIK technology has improved to allow for a bladeless technique that results in an excellent visual outcome with minimal discomfort and downtime.

The procedure involves two different lasers. The femtosecond laser creates a thin flap in the cornea, and the excimer laser then reshapes the cornea to perfectly focus light onto the retina.
