❤️🐶❤️ HAND MADE ONE OF A KIND QUILT ❤️🐶❤️
Several years ago I went to adopt a dog I saw on the internet at the Magnolia Arkansas Pound. I was so appalled at the conditions there that I made it my mission for the next 2 years to clear the shelter. The dog I originally went to adopt was a dog that came to be known as TORI. At the time, I had taken a hiatus from rescue and was just going to the pound to adopt as a private citizen. I pulled TORI and decided to find her a home or rescue so that I could go back and help more dogs there. Over the next two years or so, I pulled, vetted and got into rescues about 75 + more animals from this particular pound.
TORI was adopted into the home of Connie Giglio. Connie proved to be the PERFECT home for TORI. A while after TORI was adopted, a local vet told me about a pooch that was abandoned at his clinic, her name was NINA. She was placed in boarding when her owner had to go into the hospital. Sadly, her owner died and none of her owner's friends or family wanted her. About this time Connie let me know that her mother, Beverly Giglio, was looking to adopt a pooch. It turned out that NINA and Beverly truly needed each other and it was a PERFECT match.
Over the years Connie and Beverly have become more than adopters BUT really good friends. I am so lucky and humbled to have them in my life. They are two of my biggest cheerleaders. TORI is the reason that I got back into rescue and she is the reason that the next 800+ animals that I have helped rescue were saved. TORI is very special to me and it gives me great comfort to know that she has the BEST home ever.
Beverly has made and donated this exquisite quilt to our auction so that our mission can continue and we can help some of the needy dogs in our area. Beverly gave this quilt to me last year and I have waited until the right time to offer it at auction.
The quilt measures a generous ( approximately) 50" X 50".
It is finished on both sides and has a finished border. The border is 3 inches wide.
My suggestion would be to display it as a piece of artwork or use it as a decorative throw over the back of a chair or sofa.
IT IS TRULY A ONE OF A KIND PIECE OF ART!
