Hospice care never sleeps-and neither does the dedication of our amazing after hours nurse, Nydia Cannon! When families need support in the quiet of the night or during a weekend crisis, Nydia is there with calm reassurance, clinical skills, and a compassionate heart.

We are so grateful for Nydia's commitment, steady presence, and the comfort she provides to patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. Thank you, Nydia, for being a steady light in the dark.

On this solemn anniversary of September 11, 2001, our team here at CHRISTUS Hospice honors the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless heroes who answered the calls with courage and compassion.

As caregivers, we are reminded of the strength of the human spirit, the power of community, and the importance of holding space for both grief and healing.

We stand in remembrance, in gratitude, and in hope. Forever remember 9/11/01. 🇺🇸

In honor of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, CHRISTUS Hospice, purchased some cookies for our team to help us through this Monday! Of course, we had to get different flavors to make sure everyone had a treat even if they don't like chocolate chip! Make sure to take time today and treat yourselves, even if it's one cookie!

🏴‍☠️Ahoy, mates! CHRISTUS Hospice set sail on a pirate-themed scavenger hunt this week to help the incredible CNAs at Old Brownlee Community Center, learn the signs of hospice eligibility, all while having a boat load of fun!
We treasure our CNAs more than gold- they're the glue that holds our crew together, working the hardest and caring the deepest. Thank you for all you do! ❤️⚓️

CHRISTUS Hospice meets with leaders from The Bridge, an Alzheimer's and Dementia Resource Center, along with Casandra Cesare an Ombudsman Community Educator for the Caddo on Council Aging. Together we are all working on strengthening partnerships and expand local support for patients and caregivers/families facing memory-related challenges.
