Bates Chiropractic and Sports Therapy

Bates Chiropractic and Sports Therapy Bates Chiropractic and Sports Therapy Bates Chiropractic and Sports Therapy is not like any other clinic in Northern Louisiana. How do overuse conditions occur?

Here you will receive the same innovative treatments as professional athletes. Bates Chiro offers traditional chiropractic, nutrition, keniso tape, and rehab. However, Dr. Bates is bringing active release technique (ART) to Northern Louisiana. ART is the gold standard in soft tissue treatment. Dr. Bates has found his formula of treatment to work very fast unlike most standard treatments. Most patients see dramatic results from just one treatment! Even if you are not an athlete Dr. Bates has helped children, elderly and regular everyday people. Dr. Bates has already worked with numerous professional athletes, college athletes, and normal everyday people while completing his internship at one of the best sports chiropractic clinics in Texas. What is Active Release Techniques (ART) to Individuals, Athletes, and Patients? ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles. Over-used muscles (and other soft tissues) change in three important ways:
acute conditions (pulls, tears, collisions, etc),
accumulation of small tears (micro-trauma)
not getting enough oxygen (hypoxia). Each of these factors can cause your body to produce tough, dense scar tissue in the affected area. This scar tissue binds up and ties down tissues that need to move freely. As scar tissue builds up, muscles become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons causes tendonitis, and nerves can become trapped. This can cause reduced range of motion, loss of strength, and pain. If a nerve is trapped you may also feel tingling, numbness, and weakness. What is an ART treatment like? Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. These treatment protocols - over 500 specific moves - are unique to ART. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. ART is not a cookie-cutter approach.

Wow! Dr. Bates has developed a way with his Baseball Movement Lab to adjust athletes in motion!!!!

⚾ Why We Adjust Baseball Players in Fielding & Hitting Positions ⚾

Baseball doesn’t happen lying on a table.
It happens in motion fielding, throwing, loading, rotating, and swinging.

That’s why in Baseball Movement Lab, developed by Dr. Bates, we adjust and assess athletes in the positions that actually cause the stress.

When a player fields a ground ball or loads to hit, certain joints are stressed repeatedly.
If those joints don’t move well in those positions, the body compensates and that’s when problems show up in the shoulder, elbow, hips, or back.

By adjusting athletes in controlled fielding and hitting positions, we:
✔ Improve joint feedback to the brain
✔ Reinforce better movement patterns
✔ Reduce unnecessary compensation
✔ Help the body move more efficiently

This isn’t about force.
It’s about communication between the brain and body.

Baseball Movement Lab is built for how baseball is actually played not just where it hurts.

This is a form that we will use to screen the athlete prior to any treatment.

⚾ Excited to announce we are so close dropping the BASEBALL MOVEMENT LAB ⚾ in our clinic
Developed by Dr. Bates.

Baseball Movement Lab is a baseball-specific care program designed for players ages 10–18. It focuses on how baseball athletes move, throw, rotate, and recover throughout the season.

Unlike general care, this program is position-specific, because pitchers and position players place very different demands on their bodies.

What Baseball Movement Lab does:

⚾️Improves movement quality
⚾️Supports joint mechanics and soft-tissue health
⚾️Helps manage throwing and playing workload
⚾️Aims to keep athletes available and performing all season

Athletes are placed into one of two tracks:
• Pitcher Track
• Position Player Track

Baseball Movement Lab was developed by Dr. Bates using years of experience working with youth and high-level baseball athletes.

As a youth baseball player he suffered an elbow injury that has driven him to search for better ways to protect his athletes.

Details to come. Please message for questions.

Seriously, we couldn’t do this without you. Thanks for helping us keep Shreveport feeling aligned and smiling!

We are so thankful for our first responders and linemen who show up when it matters most—through storms, long nights, and tough conditions.

TODAY from 10:00–11:00 AM, we’re offering complimentary chiropractic adjustments as a small way to say thank you for all you do.

No strings attached. Just appreciation.
If that’s you—or you know someone who serves—please come by. We’d be honored to take care of you. 💪⚡🚓🚒

Dr. Bates son having too much fun…..do you know who he is dressed up like? Some of you might be too young.

❄️ This cold has us feeling like Teen Wolf in the 80s

Remember Teen Wolf — when one wrong move, one hard fall, or one stiff joint turned into full werewolf mode?
Yeah… that’s basically what this ice-cold weather does to your body 😅

Cold temps =
• tight muscles
• stiff joints
• slower recovery
• more aches after workouts, practices, or just everyday life

Your nervous system and muscles don’t love freezing weather — especially active teens, athletes, and parents chasing them around.

That’s where chiropractic care comes in 🧠🦴
We keep your body moving smooth, balanced, and recovered so you don’t wake up walking like you just played pickup ball in 1985 with no warm-up.

Don’t worry we will be back this week!
