Located in Blanchard, Louisiana, newly developed Hill Crest Memorial-Blanchard Chapel is ready to assist you through one of the most personal and challenging stages of life. Situated near Highway 1 about 20 miles from Hill Crest Funeral Home and Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, we are proud to serve families in and around Blanchard, Mooringsport, Oil City, Shreveport, Vivian and beyond.
Built in the 1970s, the building was primarily used as a church until being completely renovated into the beautiful Hill Crest Memorial-Blanchard Chapel in 2019. From the moment you step into our 9,000-square-foot funeral home, you are met with a warm and welcoming open-concept atmosphere featuring traditional red brick with white columns, neutral, calming colors, comfortable furniture and an abundance of natural light. With ample parking on three sides of our single-story building, we are also entirely handicap accessible.
Hill Crest Memorial-Blanchard Chapel offers a number of spaces for both intimate and larger gatherings. To the immediate right of the lobby area sits our hospitality room that can comfortably accommodate up to 100 guests before or after a service. With a buffet table, refrigerator, dishwasher and flexible chair seating, this space can be easily configured to best suit your needs. With a full range of catering options available, we are happy to arrange these details on your behalf.
As you continue down the hallway, you will see several other areas including our arrangement room, stateroom, family lounge and spacious chapel. Our conference-style arrangement room provides a private setting in which to meet with an expert funeral service associate to discuss all final arrangements. The family lounge is another intimate space for families to gather and relax in private.
Typically used for visitations, our stateroom accommodates 30-40 guests and is a cozy space for families and friends to pay their respects. Our beautifully lit chapel can be found at the end of the hallway. With floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, the chapel accommodates up to 200 guests with chair seating. It also houses a full audio/visual system complete with a digital grand piano and two large-screen televisions for those who wish to display personalized slideshows and videos.
