National Grief Awareness Day

Today we take time to recognize that it takes time to heal from loss and that closure comes in many forms. When a loved one passes, the void they leave affects everyone differently.

It's important to reach out to friends, family and/or join a support group to help with the grief process.

We offer Bereavement services to the families of our patients during care and after.

Barbara Tyler, RN comes to us from an ER setting. She is learning about Hospice and catching on very quickly.

Kathy Vaughn, RN comes to us from teaching at NSU. Now she is in a different setting being taught about Hospice.

Jim Gray, Chaplain comes to us from East Texas where he has been a Chaplain for a Hospice there. He knows what the role requires, knows our EMR system and is ready to share the word and love on some patients.

With more than 64 years of service at Garden Park between them, these ladies were thrilled at being recognized with the 2025 Gold National Quality Award. As LSU fans, they wanted to pose with this wonderful Becky Fos art, “VII”💜💛Just like the Tigers, they know that success doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes teamwork, perseverance and passion.
