RESIDENCY PROGRAM
LSUHSC Dept. of Otolaryngology offers a fully accredited Otolaryngology -Head & Neck Surgery residency training program with experiences obtained at the LSU Health Sciences Center and the Overton Brooks Veterans Administration Hospital in Shreveport. The program is administered by 11 full -time faculty members who represent all of the major subspecialty areas of otolaryngology/ head & neck surgery. The program matches three residents each year at the PGY-1 level via the National Resident Application Service (ERAS) and is five years in length for a total of 15 current residents. Our Fellowship program is recognized by the Education and Research Foundation for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The fellowship program exists in a busy academic setting with a large and diverse patient population and offers exposure to a full range of facial plastic and reconstructive procedures.
