This is great news for our future Medical Laboratory Science students. We are one of three programs that officially have a MOU for a 2+2 with LSUS.

🎉 Big News for Future Healthcare Professionals! 🎓

Today, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with LSU Shreveport to create a faster, more affordable pathway for students to earn a bachelor’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Science, Cardiovascular Technology or Medical Laboratory Science through our LSU Health Shreveport School of Health Professions and Sciences.

Students will now be able to start their degree at LSUS and finish it here at LSU Health Shreveport, gaining the skills and credentials they need to launch meaningful, high-demand healthcare careers in just four years. 👩‍⚕️👨‍🔬❤️

This partnership is a win for students, a win for both institutions, and a win for Louisiana!

The Medical Laboratory Science faculty enjoyed spending time with local high school students with the AHEAD program. We introduced them to blood typing, microbiology, microscopy, and urinalysis. This was a great opportunity to share the importance of laboratory professionals in healthcare.
