A major step forward in stroke prevention and surgical innovation at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport.

Dr. Chiranjiv Virk and the team shown here successfully performed the first Neuroguard IEP case in Northwest Louisiana, an advanced procedure that improves safety and reduces stroke risk for patients with complex carotid artery disease.

This is a great example of LSUHS residents and fellows being exposed to cutting-edge procedures. Congratulations to the team who made this possible🩺💪

We held our annual Radiology Research Symposium this past Friday, October 3rd! Our keynote speaker, Dr. John Kaufman from Oregon Health & Science University, gave a thoughtful presentation titled “I love medicine, but…career pivots and pitfalls” and our residents and medical students gave excellent research presentations.
