Dr. Whitman graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa, in May 1961. He began his practice in Mansfield, Louisiana, and opened his first office in June 1961. In March 1976, he moved his office to its current location in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Holiday Office Hours for 2022/2023

Thanksgiving Week
We will be open our normal office hours Monday, Wed, and Friday.

Christmas through New Year's Day
We will be open normal office hours on Friday, December 23.
We will be closed from December 24 through January 1, 2023.
We will be resume normal office hours on Monday, January 2, 2023.

Office hours for Labor Day Weekend 2022 (Friday, Sept 2, and Monday, Sept 5):

The office will be open regular hours on both days to all patients. To be explicit, those hours are:

8:00 a.m. until noon (open)
Noon until 2:00 p.m. (closed for lunch)
2:00 until 5:00 p.m. (open)

Office Closure: July 4 (Independence Day)

We will be closed July 4 to observe US Independence Day. We will be open for normal office hours the Friday before (July 1) and the Wednesday afterward (July 6).

Memorial Day Office Hours
(Monday, May 30, 2022)
We will be open Monday morning for patients to come in for treatment. If few people come in during the day, we will close early in the afternoon.
Long story short: if you need to come in for treatment, come in early to ensure we will be here.

We will be open at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, and we will remain open as long as Dr. Whitman feels he can offer satisfactory treatment to his patients. We will close at whatever time he deems appropriate.

A word to the wise: come early if you want him to see you.

We will open/close during normal office hours on all Mon/Wed/Fri office days/hours during the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's holidays. The holidays will not impact the days/hours we are open at all. If you would like to verify exactly what this means, we have posted a day-by-day office schedule below.

By the way, "normal office hours" for any day we are open means the following:
Open: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Closed: 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. (lunch)
Open: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
NOTE: We see all patients that day who sign in before 5:00 p.m.

*** Summer 2021 Holiday Office Hours ***

We will be open for normal office hours on the following days:

-- Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day)
-- Friday, July 2 (before the July 4th weekend)
-- Monday, July 5 (after the July 4th weekend)
-- Monday, Sept 6 (Labor Day)

Long story short: the office is not closed for any national holidays during the summer.

Office Hours: Thanksgiving Day

We will be closed all day Thursday, November 26, 2020...a day on which we normally would be closed anyway. We are open for normal office hours the day before (Wednesday) and the day after (Black Friday), so please feel free to come in and see us.
