Well…Jammin’ with James Therapy has officially been open ONE WHOLE YEAR today! 🤩🥳 God’s provision and vision has been ALLLLLLL over this whole year, and as I sit down and think back on the year, He really was moving mountains to get to where I am today! This business has been His from the get-go and will continue to be His! 🙏🏼

Over this last year, we have had the opportunity to impact the lives of others 427 times!! Because of your support, SBC and Natchitoches, I have been able to impart into the lives of these kids, impacting them in ways that will stick with them for years to come! For that, I seriously thank y’all! This business wouldn’t be able to do what it could do without your support! 🤩🙏🏼

This is only the first year, so we have LOTS of room for growth and opportunities in the years to come! Speaking of growth, be on the lookout for some exciting growth that’s already in the works for Jammin’ with James Therapy! 🥳👀🤩 Can’t wait to finally get to tell you all what God has been doing to prepare for this growth! 🤩

Jammin with James Therapy loves serving families, even in ways that we couldn’t even imagine at first! This child needed some support figuring out how to navigate the potty without fear and hesitation of what’s happening in his body and in the bathroom environment, as well as remembering to take breaks to void his body of bowel movements when he gets the urge, but now has learned those skills and so much more! He’s grown in his gross motor skills (coordination, balance, body awareness, etc) on top of growing strong and independent with his toilet habits! We LOOOOOOOVE to see this! 🤩🥹🥳 Keep it up buddy, and you’ll continue jammin’ through your development! 🕺🏻

Do you have a child that’s having some difficulties with voiding urine or bowel movements? Scared of the potty? Dealing with recurrent constipation that just won’t go away? Send us a message! Let’s open the communication and see how we can help! 🤩

Today, and even recently, I have a felt a huge calling to focus on things I’ve been thankful and grateful for. In its typical way, life has been “lifeing” recently, which has truly been trying to steal joy away from the things I have in front of me. Today, I’m here to combat that by bringing a grateful heart back to the forefront of my own mind, and I want to challenge you to do the same.

What are 3 things you are grateful and thankful for these days? We could give the typical “friends, family, and God” or “friends/family, career, and health” answers, but I want you to truly sit down and think about where you currently are in life, and write down 3 things that you are thankful for, in detail. Focus on that. Let that take up space in your mind rather than the fears and anxieties that our typical daily life as adults can bring us.

If you feel comfortable in sharing, comment below some areas that you feel grateful for, and let’s share God’s love, some positivity, and joy into the lives of those around you, since we don’t know what battles they may be fighting in secret. 🙏🏼🫶🏻

This year’s Easter Sunday has me really taking a moment to reflect. To reflect on the reason for the celebration/day. To reflect on how the Son of God, Jesus, truly took on flesh to feel what humans feel, experience all the earth had to offer, and feel the pain and pressure of the enemy’s ways on the people He was called and sent to save. He did that because He loved us, because He didn’t want us to spend eternity anywhere else other than with Him, because we are His. What a profound love (an agape love) that is so hard for us to understand on this side of heaven. It’s so deeply enriched and knitted into who we are without us even noticing it.

This Easter is filled with love, renewed strength, and a newer level of faith and trust in what’s to come. This year’s Easter is different, but in bigger and better ways.

If you haven’t noticed by now in the post, this business is founded on a foundation of the values and faith in Jesus Christ. The whole reason this business/practice even started is because of God, His vision, and His provision for this to be done. What started as dreams and aspirations ended up turning into stepping stones and directions to the promise that God gave me in those dreams and aspirations. So yes, this business/practice will forever and always be brought back to the One who created it and made it into something bigger and better than I could have ever imagined.

All in all, Easter this year has awakened so much in me, and I thought I’d share a little insight about what I feel like the Lord has revealed to me. 🙏🏼🫶🏻 Happy Easter/Resurrection Sunday! ✝️🩵💛

Today, April 2nd, is World Autism Awareness Day. A day where we get to celebrate the autistic community by raising awareness for such a special population. Autistic individuals are humans, who experience the world through a different lens. They experience intense emotions, elevated educational levels, a high attention to detail and order, strong memory, and many more positive qualities that typically aren’t seen in the neurotypical population. While they don’t fit into the mold and no autistic individual is exactly the same, they deserve the same amount of love, care, respect, affection, etc, just as their neurotypical counterparts do.

While blue has been the historical way of promoting awareness of autism, the education, communication, and empowerment has continued to grow with autistic individuals. No matter how you celebrate, empower, and love on autistic individuals, may that be through wearing blue and showing a puzzle piece in your pictures, or promoting awareness through the infinity symbol with the rainbow of colors surrounding it as awareness and understanding has grown, Jammin’ with James Therapy wants to support you, your family, your loved ones, and your autistic family members and friends in any and all ways. If you need help finding ways to support and care for autistic individuals, comment or send me a message. Let’s open the communication around such a special population! 💚🧡💙

Last day of this series! (It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t slip up again and post two posts in one day 🤪)

Day 10 of Playground Equipment: How Does It Help My Child? 🧗‍♂️

Climbing builds more than strength! 🧗‍♂️✨

A playground rock wall challenges children in ways that support whole-body development. Climbing strengthens upper body muscles, grip strength, core stability, and lower body coordination as children push, pull, and stabilize their bodies with each movement.

Rock walls also promote motor planning and problem-solving as kids decide where to place their hands and feet to reach the next hold. This type of movement provides valuable proprioceptive input, helping children develop body awareness and control.

Beyond the physical benefits, climbing builds confidence, resilience, and perseverance — every successful step upward is a reminder that effort leads to achievement. 🌟

Thank YOU for following along with this series! Even with my slip ups and forgetting to post, it’s been a fun series to get to talk about! Now whenever you see playgrounds, hopefully you see all the wonderful things that it can help your kiddos with! Day 9 of Playground Equipment: How Does It Help My Child? 🪜

Climbing toward stronger skills! 🧗‍♀️✨

Playground ladders are more than just a way to reach the top — they’re a powerful opportunity for development. Climbing strengthens upper and lower body muscles, grip strength, and shoulder stability while promoting bilateral coordination as children alternate hands and feet.

Each step requires motor planning, balance, and body awareness, helping children learn how to sequence movements and navigate space safely. Climbing also builds confidence, persistence, and problem-solving as kids figure out how to move their bodies efficiently.

Playground challenges like ladders turn everyday play into meaningful opportunities for growth and independence. 🌟

Day 8 of Playground Equipment: How Does It Help My Child? ⚖️

Finding balance in every step ✨

A balance beam may look simple, but it builds powerful foundational skills. Walking across a beam strengthens core stability, ankle strength, and postural control while refining dynamic balance and coordination.

As children focus on each step, they develop body awareness, motor planning, and concentration. Small adjustments in foot placement and posture provide valuable proprioceptive and vestibular input, supporting overall sensory integration.

Beyond the physical benefits, balance beams build confidence, patience, and resilience. Each careful step forward is a lesson in focus, perseverance, and self-trust.

Play that challenges the body also strengthens the mind. 🌟

Day 7 of Playground Equipment: How Does It Help My Child? 🌟

Crawling toward growth! 🌟

Playground tunnels are more than just fun hiding spots — they’re powerful tools for development. Crawling through a tunnel strengthens core muscles, shoulders, and hips while promoting bilateral coordination and motor planning. These movements are foundational for posture, endurance, and overall body control.

Tunnels also provide valuable proprioceptive and spatial awareness input, helping children understand where their body is in space. For some children, the enclosed space can even support regulation by offering a sense of security and calm.

Socially, tunnels encourage imaginative play, turn-taking, and cooperative exploration.

Simple structures. Big developmental impact. 💛
