With sleepless nights and tons of prayers I have decided to hang up my mat for the time being. 6 years I dedicated my life to all the Little You’s here in Shreveport. However, at this time I feel I need to focus on growing my kids/family, plant myself in my faith as a youth minister, and renew my personal yoga practice. I pushed through quarantine, pushed through pregnancy complications and now I need to regrow my yoga practice. I recently heard a quote said “you can fast forward childhood but you can never rewind.” I don’t want to miss Clarke’s first steps, Kat’s many performances, or Kevin’s date nights. Instead of teaching 20 classes a week, I will be using my tools from my great mentors; in my children’s ministry . Thank you all for your support throughout this wild ride. I look forward to teaching again in the future.

Even in difficult seasons you can still find Joy! Right now we are in the middle of a series on Joy. You can listen on our website! For the past few weeks we have been dealing with Clarke’s chronic ear infections and our dog, Tank’s freak illness. Through all our chaos and anxiety we always found joy. This week we found joy in family time and in nature! How have you experienced Joy lately?!

We are back after a much needed family vacation! LYY will be heading to the for baby yoga Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 and kids yoga Wednesday at 4pm! Also library yoga is about to start! Check your local library for free kid yoga classes!!!

Baby steps.... literally! Quarantine taught me 20 classes a week is way too many. The wonderful has helped me balance my mom/teacher life. If you can’t attended now don’t fret. I will be adding library and zoom classes this summer. In the meantime, come play yoga at the Y!
