We are so proud of Barb McManus for earning the Volunteer of the Year for 15 amazing years with our GREAT Program!🧡💛

the Jeff & Nellie Guidry Volunteer Award. This award honors an individual or individuals who have generously contributed their time and talents to accomplish the mission of The Arc through support for either a chapter or a person with a disability.
• For nearly 15 years, this award winner has been a mainstay of the GREAT Program, which provides equine-assisted services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.
• Because one rider may require as many as three volunteers to ensure safety and encouragement, the success of this program depends on the generosity of volunteers like her.
• She has consistently been at the heart of this effort, helping create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where participants can grow in confidence and ability.
• Her compassion, patience, and ability to connect with others have inspired both participants and other volunteers.
• In addition to her direct service with riders, she shares her extensive knowledge of natural horsemanship.
• She has devoted countless hours to caring for and training the therapy horses, ensuring they are well-prepared to work with participants.
• Her expertise is critical to the program’s quality, safety, and long-standing success. She is so much more than a volunteer; she is a champion for people with disabilities.
It is our pleasure to honor Barbara McManus for his time and talent in supporting the Arc mission. The Arc is successful because of volunteers like you.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today at the 15th annual Senior Day Expo at Live Casino & Hotel Louisiana hosted by The Best of Times!! Our staff was joined by one of our Community Life Engagement (CLE) groups.

We loved getting to talk about our mission of building unlimited opportunities and the different programs and services The Arc Caddo-Bossier provides, including Frost Industries. The Arc Caddo-Bossier employs 42 workers with disabilities through Frost Industries as part of the AbilityOne program. AbilityOne represents one of the largest sources of employment for people with disabilities in the United States.

The Arc Caddo-Bossier attended a Health and Resource Fair last week that was put on by Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College - NLTCC in partnership with Healthy Blue.

We hire people with disabilities through SourceAmerica. Through AbilityOne funding, 42 workers with disabilities participate in employment through Frost Industries, finding meaningful careers across three primary departments: linen services🧺, custodial services🫧, and postal services✉️.
