The heart is far more than a mechanical pump—it is the central spiralic oscillator of the human energy system, the primary field generator through which consciousness interfaces with biology. Every cell in the body moves to its rhythm, entrained by the electromagnetic symphony radiating from this luminous organ. Modern instruments have confirmed what ancient mystics always knew: the heart produces the strongest electromagnetic field of any structure in the body, extending several feet beyond the skin, shaping the auric envelope that we sense as presence.

Within this living field, emotion becomes waveform. Joy, gratitude, and compassion create coherent rhythms—smooth, harmonic oscillations that stabilize brainwaves, hormones, and immune function. Fear, anger, and despair generate chaotic patterns that fragment the bio-field, leading to dissonance and fatigue. Coherence is not metaphorical; it is measurable. When the heart enters resonance, the brain follows, and the two operate as a unified circuit—a state in which intuition sharpens and perception expands.

Yet the deeper secret lies in the heart’s subtle anatomy. Hidden within its cellular lattice are piezoelectric crystalline structures, primarily collagen, that transduce mechanical motion into electric and magnetic signals. Each contraction sends a pulse not only of blood but of bio-photonic light, a radiant whisper of consciousness communicating across the entire cellular network. The heart, in essence, is a living transducer—converting spiritual impulse into biological action, frequency into feeling, light into life.

Long obscured by reductionist science, the ancients preserved this knowledge in symbol and ritual. The Egyptians called the heart the “seat of intelligence.” The Taoists mapped it as the Emperor of the inner kingdom. In nearly every sacred tradition, it is the bridge—the place where the infinite descends into matter and where matter remembers its origin in the infinite.

To awaken the heart is to restore that bridge. When the heart’s field is coherent, it re-establishes the natural communication between the physical and the subtle bodies, aligning the human bio-field with the planetary and cosmic resonances that sustain all life. It is here that true healing begins—not through resistance or control, but through harmonic remembrance.

The forgotten truth is simple yet profound:
the heart is the original portal of consciousness.
It is the first organ to form in the embryo, and the last to cease in death, for it is the keeper of the current—the sacred axis of the human soul.

The Art of Neutrality in CranioSacral Therapy

In Upledger CranioSacral Therapy, “neutral” is more than a concept—it’s a way of being.

As Tad Wanveer, LMT, CST-D, explains in this article, therapeutic neutrality has three key aspects:
1️⃣ The practitioner’s inner state
2️⃣ The client–practitioner relationship
3️⃣ The therapeutic process

🔬 Science Meets Touch in CranioSacral Therapy

This study brings fresh insight into the cranial rhythmic impulse (CRI).

By combining expert palpation with advanced physiological tracking tools, researchers found strong correlations between palpated CRI rhythms and measurable autonomic nervous system activity.

This strengthens the credibility of manual assessment while opening the door to new ways of refining therapeutic techniques.

💡 A step forward in showing that what we feel with our hands can reflect the body’s natural rhythms.

🔥🚒 Still Making an Impact: CranioSacral Therapy for Firefighter Cadets 🔥🚒

We’re revisiting one of our prior article:
“A Proposal for the Use of CranioSacral Therapy in Firefighter Cadets.”
When we first shared this research, it struck a chord—and for good reason.

The study revealed the potential of CranioSacral Therapy (CST) to reduce cortisol levels and improve postural stability in firefighter cadets—crucial factors in helping these frontline heroes stay physically and mentally prepared.

If you missed it the first time, now’s the perfect chance to see how CST continues to support the well-being of those who protect and serve.

🌿 Unlocking the Healing Power of SomatoEmotional Release (SER) in CranioSacral Therapy 🌿

In CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release (SER) is a transformative process that helps clients release deep-seated trauma, promoting healing at both physical and emotional levels. This article by Dr. Tim Hutton dives into the delicate art of dialoguing during SER, emphasizing that true healing requires us to remain neutral, present, and connected to the client’s experience.

🌀 Highlights:
--SER allows for a safe, whole-body release of trauma patterns.
--Dialoguing is used mindfully to support the healing process, focusing on the tissue’s response.
--Therapists are encouraged to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space, respecting the client’s boundaries and unique journey.
--Whether you’re a CST practitioner or curious about holistic healing, this read provides valuable insights into fostering authentic connections and respecting each person’s healing path. 🌱✨

We're happy to offer a wonderful weekend seminar for all Craniosacral practitioners with Mary Bolingbroke BSc.(OST) on October 25th-26th: Working with the Ancestors: Healing Ancestral and Inter-generational Trauma. This seminar can be attended in London or online and video recordings will be available for review. Click on this link for more details: https://cranio.co.uk/craniosacral-advanced-courses/working-with-the-ancestors/

The ancestral 'other world' and this one are inextricably linked. Healing in one world strengthens and enables the other. The connection goes both ways, but over the last centuries this link has weakened or even fractured. Many of the current difficulties faced in our world, environment, society and families are due to this fracture. Without our elders and our ancestry we can feel alone, homeless, lonely and afraid. With them we reconnect to their constant love, care, concern, insight and protection. Our ancestors have a job description, ‘to look after the living’, but without us they have no agency. This two-day course will include guided meditations, experientials and hands on work in pairs. Online participants can join in the practice sessions from home, and Video recordings will be available.

We will explore:
- How our fear of death, dying & the dead alters inter-generational relationships
- What other factors damage our ancestral connections and communication, including 'lost' or unrecognised babies and children, unresolved trauma including exclusion, abandonment, guilt and shame
- Why being in a two-way relationship with ancestors is beneficial
- Survival, epigenetics and how the nature of ancestral trauma affects our mind, body and spirit and that of future generations
- Healing through family ritual, beliefs, behaviours and lore
The nature of tissue memory and which organ systems and areas of the body carry our inherited beliefs and behaviours
- How to explore your family tree and finding areas where there may be damage and breakdown in communication
- Healing techniques and how to help (including a review of Family Constellation Therapy).

Tutor: Mary Bolingbroke trained at the British School of Osteopathy graduating in 1992, and has continued to specialise in cranial work. She started teaching at the British School of Osteopathy in 1993 and set up a multi-disciplinary clinic at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London. She co-founded the Irish Diploma In Paediatrics in 2009 and she is on the Biodynamics of Osteopathy faculty, and regularly teaches on Biobasics (James Jealous) courses in the UK. Mary has a great interest in teaching as well as treating people of all ages and animals including horses, dogs and the occasional parrot.

Open to all Craniosacral Therapists and Cranial Osteopaths. Cost: £250/£280. Please email for bookings.
