Gateways Academy, a small school in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, is in dire need of a 15 passenger van or small school bus. This school was started to help the displaced children, whose private schools shut down during COVID.
Every Wednesday, the kids of this school go to do community service somewhere in the city. The school does not have transportation, thus the staff is having to use their personal vehicles. Over the last year, the school has grown but is still lacking in staff. They can no longer use their personal vehicles due to lack of space. Do to teachers being underpaid throughout the US, they cannot afford to purchase one for the school. They also get no government funding due to it being a private school. The school needs to purchase a 15 passenger van/small bus by September or these children will no longer be able to help their community.
