Hello Friends,
Well it is with deep regret that Pat and I have decided to retire from all woodwork, bowl turning, making peppermills and all other pieces that we made over the years, my eyesight has failed me to the point that it is no longer safe; we are selling everything, including tools and what remaining finished pieces that are left, if anyone is interested in anything, stop by, we are here most of the time, except for doctors appointments, we are looking to move to a more manageable place to live, at 87 and 85 the house we live in has become a bit to big to manage, as of Friday we found out that Pat has 3 fractures in her spine and has to go for surgery.
Pat and I would love to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, for your friendship and love over these past years, we will be remaining here till things work out, so if you want to stop by and just say hello, that would be super.
Again we thank each and everone of you
may God bless you all

Hello Friends, well with all that goes on in my life, a new chapter, about a month ago I woke up with not being able to see much out of my left eye, I called the eye Dr, and she told me to go out to the Retina center as fast as I could, when I arrived there after a special emanation I was told that I had a torn retina and needed to have emergency eye surgery right away, so they sent me to Pennsylvania Retina Specialist,PC Camp Hill, Hershey, State College, York. where they did the surgery, the surgery went well, I am slowly getting my eyesight back, thanks to the Doctor and the help of God, I was told that I should have about 90+ percent of my vision back in my left eye when fully healed, which could take about a year, let me tell you the first two weeks after surgery were a real challenge, having to look at the floor night and day, but you do what you have to do to keep your sight. it is a very slow process but worth it to have your sight.
Here is a picture of one of three bowls that I finished today using my good eye.

Hello Friends, Pat and I hope everyone is doing fine, and looking forward to spending time with family and friends for the coming Christmas Holiday, I know for sure that we are looking forward to seeing the grandkids and the great-grandkids, what a joy.
I got a call a few weeks back from a farmer friend of mine that said that he was cleaning up some deadfall in a patch of woodland and wanted to know if I was interested in some Ambrosia maple.
My answer was yes. Ambrosia maple has a cream-colored background with streaks of gray, brown, black, or tan. The streaks are caused by the fungus that the beetle carries into the wood on its feet. The result is a distinctive "wormy" pattern that resembles tiger stripes. the pieces were the right size to make some Peppermills, well I ended up with enough wood to make 8 peppermills and they came out beautiful, this tree was several hundred years old and spent its entire life in Southern York County, so now the Peppermills remain a part of History,
