Perfect example of horrible information being fed to expecting parents. But a catchy title will have you second guessing your choices.
What you feed your child and how you feed is completely your choice. How they calculated formula for a year to cost between $700-$2500 and breastfeeding to cost $10k is the problem. The items listed are not “needs”. All feeding takes time and effort.
Working with an IBCLC can have zero out-of-pocket costs. Most can get breast pumps and replacement parts under their insurance. There are many free community based support groups like the one I run weekly at New Mom School.
