It was a lively and fulfilling week filled with shopping trips, spring planting, and delightful lunch dates. Residents enjoyed browsing for seasonal finds, getting their hands in the soil with fresh flowers and greenery, and sharing laughter over delicious meals with friends. Each day brought a perfect blend of activity, connection, and the simple joys of the season.

The recent lecture on Henry Knox presented by Jim Jolicouer of the Shrewsbury Historical Society, offered a fascinating look into the life of one of the Revolutionary War’s most remarkable figures. Guests learned how Knox rose from a humble bookseller to a trusted general and close confidant of George Washington, playing a pivotal role in transporting artillery during the war.

Each year, we’re honored to join the Alzheimer's Association Rhode Island Chapter Caregiver Conference alongside members of multiple LCB community leadership teams.

This annual event gives us the opportunity to share our Walk in Their Shoes dementia simulation—an immersive, body-based experience that helps caregivers more deeply understand what their loved ones are going through.
