It's time for another round of Friday Faces! This week, we’re thrilled to introduce you to Chante' L. and Randall N. ✨

Chante' L., is our amazing cook in the kitchen. She has been a valuable member of our team for five years, recently marking her work anniversary, and we couldn't be prouder! Chante' delights in trying out new recipes while also mastering the classics. If we had to sum her up in three words, they would be fun, kind, and caring. Inspired by friends and family, she loves to unwind by gaming with her pals. Thank you, Chante'!

Next is Randall, who has lived at Sibley Specialty Care for about five years. He enjoys participating in various activities such as church, bingo, and outings. With a loving wife and brothers nearby, he hails from Sibley, IA. Having spent most of his life working on a farm, some of his favorite pastimes include watching TV and playing games. His advice to the younger generation? "Study hard."

🌟 We're excited to launch a new feature on our page called "Friday Faces"! Each Friday, we'll highlight one resident and one team member. So, without further ado, let's meet Kathryn!

Kathryn has lived at Sibley Specialty Care for a few years now. She loves the activities, meals, and the caring team here. Throughout her career, she worked as a bookkeeper at a Chevrolet garage. In her free time, she enjoys knitting and reading newspapers. Her advice to the younger generation is to make the most of every opportunity.

Now, let’s introduce Crystal, our Dietary Services Manager, who has been with us for four years. Crystal is passionate about caring for others. This week, we had a blast at Sibley Specialty Care during our afternoon activities! 🍂 Residents embraced their creativity with fall colors by painting on paper and leaves. Their fantastic artwork will be displayed in the dining room for all to check out.

Residents also baked some delicious Macadamia nut cookies! 🥳🍪 The taste was absolutely incredible! Who else enjoys baking? Share your favorite cookie recipes with us! 💖

Welcome to Sibley Specialty Care

Walk into Sibley Specialty Care on any day of the week and don’t be surprised if it feels as though the staff have been waiting for you to come, invite you in and cater to the casual visitor’s needs with as much care as our residents receive. Open, friendly and attentive, our staff is the backbone of our home, many of who have served residents here for years. Located on the edge of Sibley, surrounded by grassy lawn and nearby farm country, our bright, clean facility is a breath of fresh air.

With daily visits from physical, occupational and speech therapists, each of our residents has their own customized care plan to help them regain and maintain strength, flexibility and mobility. Often, therapists work with our staff to incorporate real world movement into how the individual is benefiting from a particular therapy.

While our residents have plenty of personal private space, but most often they are enjoying socializing in the common areas playing cards, watching movies, discussing the book club’s latest book, Bingo or our afternoon coffee klatch. Small group activities get everyone involved at their own personal level of ability whether it be stirring or kneading the dough for weekly bread baking or just receiving a manicure and massage.
