I used to think yoga was all about finding inner peace, but now I know the real secret to zen: baby goats in costumes! NY Goat Yoga here I come!

No, I'm not leaving my EFT practice for the green pastures of baby goat love, but that’s the beauty of cultivating abundance - finding the sweet spot where you can enjoy multiple passions!

Bucks County friends! WALK-IN URGENT MENTAL HEALTH CARE now available in Doylestown as part of Lower Bucks Wellness. If yo uhave ever tried to get a same-day mental health appointment, you know it’s impossible!! This is a godsend. SPREAD THE WORD!

………………….

Lower Bucks Wellness will now be offering an urgent mental care center. Any individual (ages 8yo+) can walk into the Doylestown office and meet with a licensed provider that day. Hours for urgent mental health care are Monday through Thursday 10am-2pm. An assessment and brief intervention (processing, coping, etc.) will take place during that visit. If an individual is not a current patient at Lower Bucks Wellness, they will be offered a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and evaluation for medication within one business day. If the individual is a current client and wishes to have a medication review with their prescriber, the walk-in would allow them to be placed on for an urgent medication review appointment with their current nurse practitioner. If their current provider is on vacation, we can offer an alternative provider to allow for the medication review to take place as well. The walk-in fee for urgent mental health care is $100 for that visit. If you or someone you know is suffering from depression, anxiety, mood changes, academic challenges, insomnia, or other symptoms and wishes to be seen urgently, this could be a great option to receive prompt care! Just walk in to our Doylestown office and check in at the front desk! There is a large desk on the first floor associated with The Tonic Room. The Tonic Room is our integrative and holistic practice. The nurses can check you in and get everything squared away for you!

We look forward to our expansion of providing urgent mental health care and hope to provide you with excellent, compassionate care! Please give us a ring or send over a message with any questions you may have!

Kind regards,

As someone with CPTSD, I found this really interesting. I would definitely put myself in the flight category, although I can see parts of myself in all four. The good news is we don’t have to live this way. Leaning the Emotional Freedom Technique saved my life, and after 2 decades as an EFT practitioner, I have seen it work miracles in the lives of veterans, adults with childhood trauma and women with cancer. I think one of the best parts of EFT is that people can learn to use it for themselves anywhere at any time when they need it.

I especially like the part about choosing to soften when life circumstances have tried to harden you. That’s the part I’m working on now. Kindness doesn’t mean being unboundaried. It doesn’t mean accepting the unacceptable. It’s not kind to stay in a toxic relationship. We can be compassionate at whatever distance feels safe for us.

“IT’S NOT PERSONAL”…. Expectations are pre-meditated resentments….. Each time we feel we’ve been wronged, we have the power to expand into acceptance, compassion and surrender or shrink into resentment, self-pity and self-righteousness. Choosing the high road means letting go of our need to have our “right-ness” seen by anyone else.

“Knowledge is understanding the difference between there, their and they’re. Wisdom is not publicly correcting someone’s grammar on social media.”

Just as it takes courage to speak up when you’re in pain, it takes courage on the part of the listener to hold the space for the conversation.

A key component of prevention is learning to have these awkward but necessary conversations - to be present and listen when someone reaches out for help.
