Please join us in welcoming Dr. Allyson Schmidt to our practice!

Born and raised in Sidney, Ohio, Dr. Schmidt is excited to return home and serve the community she knows and loves. Beginning in June 2026, she will be seeing patients in both our Sidney and Ft. Loramie offices.

Dr. Schmidt is a graduate of Lehman Catholic High School and earned her biology degree from Miami University before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She was also recognized by the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society for her academic achievements.

Her professional interest include:

• Managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration
• Specialty contact lens fitting for irregular corneas
• Dry eye management

Dr. Schmidt is passionate about community outreach and has participated in mission trips providing eye care to underserved countries, and RealEyes presentations promoting the importance of annual eye exams for children across Ohio.

Outside of the office, she enjoys skiing, golfing, and reading. She looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients while providing compassionate, high-quality eye care.

What You’ll Do:
Welcome patients with a warm, professional attitude
Track orders and deliveries for glasses and eyewear
Maintain and organize optical inventory
Contact patients when their eyewear is ready or if issues arise
Support the team with general office and optical tasks
Use practice software and digital tools confidently
What We’re Looking For:
Strong communication and customer‑service skills
Comfort with computers, technology, and learning new systems
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask
A positive, team‑oriented mindset
Experience in optical or medical office settings is a plus, but not required
