Big news for our community! 🎉

Sidney Regional Medical Center has earned a 5-Star Willingness to Recommend rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services — placing it among just over 290 hospitals nationwide to receive this top distinction out of more than 4,600 rated.

This recognition reflects excellence across patient safety, outcomes, experience, and timely care—all backed by real patient feedback and data.

It’s a powerful example of what “Extraordinary Care, Always!” looks like in action. 💙

🔬 Happy Medical Laboratory Professionals Week from Sidney Regional Medical Center!

This week — and every week — we recognize the incredible team in our laboratory who work behind the scenes to deliver the accurate, timely results that drive patient care at SRMC.

From blood bank to microbiology, from early mornings to overnight shifts: our lab professionals are essential to everything we do. Their expertise, dedication, and attention to detail make a real difference for every patient who walks through our doors.

Thank you to our SRMC lab team. We see you, and we are grateful. 💙

We’re so grateful to Matt from Elston House for his generous donation of 25 lbs of clay for BH to use with our patients. His continued support of our community truly makes a difference.

Incorporating clay into sessions has given our patients a powerful, hands-on way to self-regulate, reduce stress, and safely express emotions that can be difficult to put into words. The sensory experience of working with clay can be calming and grounding, helping patients stay present while also building confidence, creativity, and healthy coping skills.

We’ve seen how something as simple as clay play can open the door to meaningful conversations, emotional processing, and moments of healing and growth.

We appreciate the willingness to collaborate with Elston House and are thankful for community partners like Matt who help make this work possible.

🚨 We had a very special patient arrive last week! 🚨

EMS responded to the call, and the patient? One very brave teddy bear. 🐻

The 1st and 2nd graders from Creek Valley Elementary joined us for our Teddy Bear Tour, where their stuffed companion was our patient! Arriving by EMS, checked into the ER, and making their way all the way through Radiology on their way to Long-Term Care before being discharged.

**Important note: The Teddy Bear is expected to make a full recovery!**

Thank you, Creek Valley Elementary, we can't wait to see you again next year!
