✨ Excited to Present at ABCT 2025! ✨

I'll be presenting a 90-minute workshop entitled "Cultural Responsiveness in Trauma-Focused Care of Teenagers" at the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies () Convention in New Orleans! This workshop will explore practical, culturally-grounded adaptations to TF-CBT and help clinicians grow their skills in providing culturally responsive trauma-focused care for teens from diverse backgrounds.

I'm excited to share research and best practices in regards to parental strategies to address teen social media use today (October 30) at the virtual Systemic Family Therapy Conference. This is part of a project that I have been working on for the last year in my clinical practice and as a DMFT student at . There is a growing evidence base for parental interventions on teen social media use, and it's NOT parental controls and cell phone bans. The answer is complex - it is not about easy fixes. I hope to share more at different platforms and venues in the future!

I am excited to announce that I'll presenting an hour-long workshop on the timely topic of teen social media use at the 2025 Systemic Family Therapy Conference sponsored by . I am looking forward to discussing the role that parents play in teen social media use and practical evidence-based interventions to support the family. The conference is virtual, and the workshop is scheduled for October 30th. Hope to see you there!

It has always been a goal of mine to be able to practice therapy where I grew up. Even though I was already licensed in California, because California has its own MFT licensure exam, Hawaii required me to pass the National MFT Exam, which is its own process. Proud to say that this process, which took over 7 months, is finally complete and I am officially licensed in Hawaii (MFT-979).
