A few of you have contacted our committee members directly to check on us in the wake of the Eaton Fire. Per our mission statement, “Our retreat is more than just a gathering; it is a lifelong connection to a community that extends far beyond its physical boundaries,” and your concern emphasizes that. We are heartbroken for our friends, families, and neighbors, including retreat community members, who lost their homes, but we are all safe. Thank you for holding us in your hearts. ♥️

We are relieved that our beloved spiritual home, Mater Dolorosa Passionist Retreat Center, survived the Eaton Fire. However, the center and surrounding property did sustain damage. Please read their in-depth report below.

Our committee met earlier this week to continue planning for our 2025 retreat, “We Will Know Peace,” facilitated by Azadeh Atzberger. We look forward to working closely with Mater Dolorosa, adapting our plans as needed, and ensuring the spirit of peace and tranquility will be at the heart of our retreat. We will continue to keep you updated as we can. Until then, may you be happy, may you be well, may you be safe, and may you be at ease.
